She woke up, slowly, the sun warming her skin, the soft Slytherin sheets comforting—
"Wait—" She yelled, pulling herself up to a sitting position, her eyes wide open. She was in their bed, Draco and her bed. She looked under the covers and was relieved to see she had clothes on.
She looked next to her and saw the last person she wanted to see in bed with her. Draco Lucius Malfoy. She stared, he looked peaceful, she wanted to punch him many times and yell at him, but somehow she kept it in, and krept out of bed, to let him sleep.
She changed into some lazy clothes, made up of, pastel blue shorts and a light weight pastel purple shirt. It was far too early to go to class or even get changed into her uniform that she already had to wear every day, all day.
Elise had nothing better to do, so, she took the bags of things they bought for the children and organized them into the girl's and boys' rooms.
At a reasonable time in the morning, Elise heard Draco groan awake. She rolled her eyes and continued to brush her teeth. Finishing quickly, she left to the owlery, not bothering to tell the newly awaken Draco.
Draco rolled over to where Elise was, not even remembering his future wife had slept their last night, he was surprised to feel it wet from the rain last night. And shot up. "Elise?" Draco called cautiously.
Silence.
He let out a deep breath, changing into one of his many crisp suits, this one a navy blue, that went well with his eyes.
Travelling down the stairs he found no Elise, though he didn't have looking skills he still checked every room in the flat and floor, nothing but silence.
"She is way too bloody independent. Couldn't she have told me where she had gone? She better not keep this behaviour up when the kids are here." He spoke to himself, a shiver running down his back at the word 'kids'. Then for the first time, since he heard what was happening, he slowed his thinking, silenced all other thoughts and found himself second—guessing himself.
Would he be a good father? He didn't have a good father to learn from, he knew for certain that he wasn't going to treat his children like his father had treated him. Would his children even like him?
Many more questions like these ran through his mind, until he remembered he had classes in 15 minutes, and his wife future wife was missing. "Should I worry about a girl? Or should I get good marks in this stupid bloody class?" He decided with himself, which was simple and quick, the second option.
And with that he gave himself a nod, and collected his things for class and arrived to class, on time and prepared.
"I see you made it here this morning," Draco heard Elise's voice and turned. "Even without my help." Her arms were crossed over her chest and her face had an annoyed expression that Draco couldn't undercover.
"Of course. I don't need you," Draco sneered, as Slytherin eyes watched them.
"Draco Malfoy—" But her thoughts interrupted. She caught the sight of the eyes, and Draco's reaction.
"Sit, please class!" Professor Bridging announces himself as he comes in.
Elise and Draco signed and sat beside each other. Elise pulled out her textbook with dozens of tabs. "Ah, Mrs. Malfoy, I see you've gone and read ahead. Might I ask how far you've read?" The professor aprochses their desk.
"I'm sorry professor, I read almost up to the term where you have the children. There's four terms, or whatever they are called. Experience, Pregnancy, New parents/Parents, and letting go." Elise stated.
"Correct. And do not apologise for wanting to learn more, child." Professor smiled, and continued on. But, Elise didn't listen. She had pinch of hate towards this professor now, he called her 'child'.
Malfoy just laughed.
