"You want me to dress like a muggle?" Draco's voice raised.
"Like a normal person Draco," Elise corrected, brushing through her hair. She had put on black leggings and a loose white shirt, with an army green cardigan over top.
"I am a Malfoy!" He groaned, trying to tie his tie. Elise had strictly ordered him not to touch any of his suits or "rich" looking clothes. Including, his attachable ties.
Elise turned from the mirror, she had a light layer of makeup on; Mascara, and lip gloss. "Whats wrong now, darling?" She played, getting the exact reaction she was expecting. Draco's lip curled, in a snarl. Elise laughed.
"I can't tie this thing," He signed deeply.
"What?" Elise blurted out. Though she had recovered from her laughing fit, it still wasn't far enough. She began laughing again. "Draco Malfoy can't tie a tie?!"
Draco glowered, "Can you just help me?"
"And how do you know I can tie one?" She raised a brow.
"Do you or do you not?" His patients were wearing away.
"Well, yeah. I had a brother," Elise shrugged slowly. Draco could sense the "no question asked" sign from her. Elise walked to Draco, she walked until she was arm's length away and hesitated. "I'm going to tie it now. Is that okay?" She asked softly, coming to the length of a finger away from him, and raising her hands to where the tie rested on his chest.
Draco scoffed, uncomfortably. "Just hurry up,"
She nodded, and began the steps, slowing down with every step, her heartbreaking little piece by little piece at the memory. She sucked in a breath as she noticed Malfoy looking down at her, and she finished quickly and walked away.
"What was that about?" Draco whispers to himself and finished getting ready for the day.
When he finished, he made himself breakfast, and soon found Elise just in front of the door to their flat. "Are you ready?" Elise cleared her throat and put in a smile. But, Draco noticed it didn't match the single teardrop on her soft pink cheek.
"Thanks," Draco muttered under his breath.
"For what?" Elise wanted to leave quickly.
"For tying my tie," Draco said simply.
Elise breathed deeply. "Not a problem," She swallowed, and turned slowly.
"Elise?" Draco called after her.
She turned to her name. Draco walked up to her, locked their eyes together, raised his hand to her face, and cupped it in his one hand, expecting her to flinch back, she started almost curiously at to what he was trying to do. And Draco's cold finger trailed her cheekbone where the teardrop looked frozen there. Elise looked puzzled, as Draco's emotionless face turned up into a soft smirk and he walked on. Leaving her curious, puzzled, and touched.
