"No, no, no." She muttered as she backed away from Draco he watched her with worry.
"Elise-"
"No," she whispered to herself.
"Elise, come here-" Draco said softly.
"No! Don't touch me and don't come near me...please," she whispered the last word.
"Tell me what's wrong. Tell me what I can do to help, Elise, please." Draco pleaded slowly walking towards her, he didn't like this at all.
"I-i'm... I can't. No." Her voice shook.
Draco closed the space between them and took her in his arms, in a hug. She pushed at his chest, trying to break free, but he kept his hold on her tight.
She quickly realized she wouldn't be able to break his hold, and melted into him taking his well-needed comfort. Draco moved his hand up to her head, and stroked her hair, his hands were warm. Elise sobbed into his chest.
"I'm so sorry Draco," she whispered.
"Just relax for now," Draco told her, though he was not relaxed himself. He was panicking on the inside. What was she hiding from him? What had he done wrong? Was it the kiss? His mind spun with questions but suddenly he heard crying and he let go of Elise quickly.
Elise was confused. "What is that?" she couldn't see the babies but she could hear them.
"A baby monitor, it's a muggle thing, I think. The babies are awake, would you like to help?" He asked. She nodded and followed him upstairs.
He led her to the two bedrooms that were locked when Elise tried to open them. Draco opened the door on the right to a dark room. Elise's eyes took seconds to adjust then she saw two cribs and two bundles of blankets in each of them.
Draco walked up to the far left crib and picked up the crying child in his arms and cradled it in his chest, rocking it gently, then he put a suther in the little thing's mouth. "Shhhh," he hushed the small child. Elise watched as the baby calmed down and went quiet.
"You're already a good dad," Elise commented and caught Draco off guard he froze.
"You think so?" He met her eyes, she could tell, he really wanted to know.
She nodded. "You are." He smiled and walked up to her.
"Put your hands out, like this." he showed her how he held his arms out, and once she did as he instructed, he placed the child in her arms. She gasped in surprise. "Don't be scared, remember, you're their mother, they will rely on you, and look up to you, if you're scared, they will be too," Draco told her, he sounded so wise, Elise thought to herself.
She nodded but forgot he couldn't see it because of how dark it was in the room, "Thank you." she whispers instead and candles the baby in her arms, the light from the hallway leaked into the room giving it enough light to see the outline of the baby in her arms but that was it, she wanted to her baby's face so she walked out of the room while rocking the baby softly, as Draco did.
As soon as Elise could see again she looked down at her baby. He was brilliant, small, delicate, and so much more. The little boy in her arms had golden blond fluff on the top of his head, Elise smiled but tears still fell slowly from her eyes, this was her baby, hers. She found it interesting of how the baby looked like both Elise and Draco's child together, the blond hair was Draco's but it wasn't his platinum blond it was darker like her brown hair.
The baby began crying sleepily, "Hey, it's okay, your okay." Elise hushed the child and rocked him, as Draco did. The child opened his eyes and Elise was even more amazed, he had green eyes, like her. More tears fell from Elise's eyes. The baby looked up at his mother and was suddenly quiet, he had a curious look on his face as he stared up at his mother. Elise laughed softly at his curious face. "Hi." She smiled.
"Should we name them now? Or when they wake up?" Draco asked, he was leaning on the doorway of babies bedroom admiring Elise with their son.
She had never thought of names. "I suppose they do need names, don't they?" Elise laughed and talked to her son.
"How about when they wake up, so you can see their personalities?" Draco suggested, the same smile still planted on his face, it's been there since Elise came to the door.
She nodded, not taking her eyes off of her son. "Sounds perfect." perfect, that word was fit for her son, he was perfect, and she loved him. Her son, she was a mother now.
