She knocked on the door of her own flat. Elise didn't know why, but it felt wrong to barge in after being gone for a while, it didn't really feel like her flat but in way, it still felt familiar. She found it funny that a month could stretch on for so long, and feel longer than it actually was.

Draco answered the door. "I'm still staying at home with the-" he stopped and froze at the sight of Elise. She looked wonderful, her hair shiny and freshly brushed, her teeth white as ever, and her eyes a brilliant green. The last time he saw them was when the nurse let him in right before the surgery, she had tears running down her cheeks, she was pale and hot from a fever, she had recovered, and he was so relieved.

Elise looked at Draco. He looked different, thinner, exhausted, almost like a zombie. "...Hi." Elise stared at Draco.

"Hi," Draco said back. "Would you like to come into our house?" Draco asked, almost shyly, a hand rubbing the back of his neck.

Elise nodded only to hide her smile, she missed Draco. He had some good traits to him she almost a buried underneath her hate for him. "Yes please."

He bowed his head and opened the door wider for her to come into their house. "Welcome back home." Draco smiled, giving his zombie-like appearance some life.

Elise walked through the doorway and into the living room, closed her eyes spinning slowly, soaking in the beautiful sunlight streaming through the windows. Draco smiled wider, watching her, he missed this, her.

Elise stopped spinning, opened her eyes and remembered, she had some little people waiting for her, she turned to Draco. "Can I-" She stopped unsure of how to ask to see her own children, the ones he had been raising on his own.

But Draco seemed to know exactly what she was trying to ask him, his smile still there. He laughed softly. "Of course," he put his hand out and she laughed, and tried walking past him only to be pulled back by the hand, and, suddenly, she was facing him, she let go of his hand, he moved his hand higher.

"Take my bloody arm, Elise." he rolls his eyes his smile growing wider.

"What makes you the boss?" A smile threatened her lips.

"I am the man of this family, oldest of this family too." He winks.

"I still don't think that's fair." Her lip puckered but she smiled it away.

"Uh oh, the baby is back." He shook his head.

She scrunched her nose with a smile. "You're not going to let me go are you?"

"Not until you take my hand, love." His mischievous smile was back

Her eyes widened and her mouth shifted to an 'o' in mockery. "How dare you! Don't you listen, Malfoy?" She giggled.

"Not particularly, no." he grabbed her hand and pulled her into his chest, their faces inches away from each other. Draco took a shaky breath, but he still wore his smile. "I'm going to kiss you, love." before Elise could even translate what was happening he leaned in and kissed her.

She didn't pull away for a moment until she remembered and she pulled away swiftly and stared at him. All she could think of was Charlie, Charlie, Charlie. Why did she enjoy the kiss? What was wrong with her? She was engaged for goodness sake, she hadn't even kissed her fiancée, Merlin, she hasn't even kissed anyone, except for Draco.
