Jerrod
Jerrod sat back in his large chair puffing on his Alec Bradley cigar. They were his favorites and his dad had the collection waiting for him as soon as he walked through those prison gates.
Prison was a breeze, no one bothered him. But it was expected, it was a breeze in juvie too. Jerrod's father had too many connects. The only reason he stayed the year in juvie was because his dad said he needed a break from Cassandra, his kitten. His obsession was unhealthy and he needed the time to get her out of his system.
That wasn't going to happen though. He loved his kitten, sure he may have went about things the wrong way. But he could make it up to her. He could give her anything she wanted. She had feelings for him once, he was sure he could get those feelings to come back.
No one bothered him in Juvie, they knew who he was. Hell his dad damn near had every judge and cop in his pocket. He just happened to run into the one or shall he say two that were not. But even then, once they were made aware of who he was and what his family was capable of, they basically gave him a slap on the wrist. He never spent a day in the cells and not once ate that awful prison food.
He spent most of his days in the warden's office, keeping tabs on his kitten and building his business. His mom had fresh food delivered to him everyday prepared by their chef. It mostly felt like he was at camp. He only went to the common areas when he wanted to work out or play some basketball.
He was tried by one of the inmates. Only one and only one time. The inmate said he heard he liked to play with little girls. Jerrod laughed at that. She was only 5 years younger than him. Now she was 23 and he was 28 and no one bat a fucking eye at the thought. The hypocrisy of it all really. At any rate, the man tried to gut him with a shank to only have it reversed and stuffed through his chin straight to his brain.
After that day, no one tried to fuck with Jerrod O'Connor again. The incident did create a sort of bloodlust inside of Jerrod. He liked the look of fear held on powerful men's faces as the life drained from their eyes. He enjoyed the fear in Cassie's eyes today. It made his dick twitch, he couldn't wait to have her soft body under his again. Even if her mouth told him no, her body always told him yes. And he obliged her body, every time, he always got her to reach her peak.
His jaw clenched slightly at the thought of another man being able to have her the way he did. He knew about Damien and he smirked as he thought about all the ways he could kill him for even laying a finger on what was his. Jake said he believed Ethan had a thing for Cassie. Jerrod looked him up, turns out he's married to some red headed broad. She's beautiful and he would definitely fuck her if given the chance, but she wasn't his kitten.
He was pulled from his thoughts, when Jake walked in to his office. Jerrod glared at him as he took a seat.
"Did you see her?" Jake asked with a sigh.
"I did, no help to you." Jerrod hissed.
"Hey man, you've had me watch her for the last 4 years. I did my part, I stayed at that damn diner everyday, making sure no one else was trying to get your girl."
Jerrod rolled his eyes before inhaling, letting the smoke fill his lungs and exhaling slowly.
"You still allowed Damien to get her, and lets not forget how many times you asked her out yourself."
"She's fucking beautiful. What do you expect?!"
If looks could kill, Jake would be dead right now.
"I expect you to do what I paid you to do. Nothing more."
Ethan
Ethan stared at Cassandra's beautiful face as she slept in his arms. After she passed out he carried her up to his penthouse. She woke up briefly crying in hysterics. He couldn't make out a word she was saying. But one thing he heard clearly, Jerrod.
He didn't know how she knew him. But from the hysteria Cassie unleashed he knew something was up. He already had Nick looking into it. Whatever happened between the two had to be bad.
When she got off the elevator last night, there was a blankness behind her stare. Not the normal spark he had grown to love shine behind her eyes. Something was terribly wrong and he needed to find out what soon.
His phone buzzed again and he rolled his eyes as he knew who it was before he unlocked his phone.
Lauren: Really Ethan? You don't come home and now you can't answer your phone?!? I'm getting so sick of this.
Ethan put his phone down and turned his attention back to Cassie. He rubbed his hand over her curls. He specifically bought silk sheets and pillow cases for her hair. He remembered her saying something about how her curls needed to stay moisturized through the night.
He smirked at the memory. It was the first time he seen her in her bonnet. He asked why she needed it and it turned into a whole lecture about natural black hair and how to keep it healthy.
She shifted in her sleep and let a low whimper. He pulled her closer to him.
"It's okay, baby." He murmured in her hair. "You're safe."
She snuggled into his touch and was sleeping peacefully again. His phone began to ring. Nick's name jumped across the screen and he quickly answered.
"What did you find?" Ethan asked desperately. Nick sighed.
"Not much man. I do know he has a record. But it's like every time I think I'm getting somewhere, I hit a brick wall. He must know some powerful people. His record is hidden very well."
Ethan sat in deep thought. How powerful could he be to have his record ultimately swiped. He didn't like this. Jerrod may be powerful but so was he.
"Nick, does it say if he went to college?" Ethan asked, looking for something he could run with.
"It says he graduated from Harvard 5 years ago."
Ethan smirked. "Hmm I know the admission's director there, we're frat buddies. Maybe I'll pay an old friend a visit."

.Happy Mother's Day to all the beautiful mother's out there. This was a filler chapter mostly. I hope you still enjoyed it. 😬
I know we all hate Jerrod. He's the worst but there's quite a bit to his story too. Still debating on how much I uncover with him and his background.
Ethan is determined and ready. Can Cassie find the strength to tell him everything? Will it change their relationship? I guess we will all find out.
Thank you for reading lovelies! ❤️
