Cassandra
"This isn't a house." Ethan snickered as he helped her out of the car.
"No? Then what is it?" He asked amused.
"A mini city." She answered, still looking around in awe.
Outside of the strip of land that brought them here, the rest of this enormous estate was surrounded by plush greens and beautiful water views.
Guards stood around at every post while yard workers diligently plucked the weeds around the gardens.
"Seriously though, who lives here? The president?" Cassie stated as she clutched Ethan's hand as he pulled her along to the door.
"Please, the president wishes he could afford this." Ethan expressed as the doors opened.
A tall, handsome, muscular man came through the large double doors.
"Ethan" The man greeted with a smile. "Matteo," Ethan responded while clasping hands with the man and pulling him into a hug.
"Marriage looks good on you." Ethan complimented, and the man's smile grew bigger.
Cassie was slightly blinded by the beautiful sight. His smile revealed the deep dimples in his cheekbones, his black hair was slicked back as if he had just gotten out of the shower. He wore a black button-up shirt with the top buttons undone, with matching black dress pants, all pulled together with a clean black belt; his shoes shined to perfection. He looked like money.
'So basically everyone around this man is gorgeous.' Cassie noted to herself.
"Thanks, man, I wish I could say the same." Matteo teased, causing Ethan to glare at him.
His attention turned to Cassie and instantly she felt nervous.
"Matteo, Cassie. Cassie, Matteo." Ethan said causing Matteo to roll his eyes.
"You always knew how to do introductions," Matteo said shaking his head and extending his hand to Cassie.
"Nice to meet you, Cassie." Cassie shook his hand. "Nice to meet you as well.
"Are you going to invite us in, or are you just going to keep us in the hot sun?" Ethan taunted.
"Cassandra can come in, you can keep your pale ass out here and soak up some more sun." Ethan scoffed and rolled his eyes as they followed Matteo inside.
"I'm not that pale," Ethan muttered to himself. Cassie chuckled under her breath as she rubbed his shoulder.
The gesture made Ethan smile and shake his head as they walked into the large foyer.
Cassie looked around in awe as she stared up at the large crystal chandelier. Three large archways led to different areas of the main floor.
They followed behind Matteo until they stopped in what appeared to be one of the living rooms. The open layout let in a ton of natural lighting, the theme of this room was white and Cassie silently wondered how they were able to keep it spotless.
She barely wanted to sit on the modern white sofa as Matteo instructed, taking a seat across from them.
"Your home is beautiful." Cassie complimented.
"Thank you, all thanks to my wife." He stated with a huge smile.
"Where is your wife?" Ethan asked.
Matteo looked at his Cartier watch before looking back at Ethan.
"She should be coming back soon. She wanted to buy new drapes for the guest room." Matteo said with a playful eye roll.
Cassie smiled at the lightness that covered his face as he spoke about his wife. It was clear he was extremely smitten.
