I'm fucking tired and I don't wanna write 3 essays on Tuesday.
"You did it! You formed Voltron!" Allura exclaimed happily when she saw Lance, Hunk, Keith and Pidge resting in the lounge room.
"No. The shooting stopped and the particle barrier shut down, so we just flew in." Keith replied plainly.
"What?" She replied angrily.
"Oh right. Sorry Princess. I had to turn off the castles defenses to test the fire suppressors." Coran apologized.
"What are you guys doing in here? We're not taking a break" Shiro said sternly as he and Lily walked into the lounge room.
"Shiro's right. You should be training." Allura agreed.
"Uughhh we've been training. When are we going back to earth?" Hunk whined.
"I'm not going back until I find my family." Pidge stated.
"There won't be an earth if we don't figure out how to fight Zarkon." Lily said.
"How are we going to fight? We can't even figure out how to form Voltron without one of us almost getting kidnapped!" Lance replied.
"Well, I'm not surprised. The original paladins fought hundreds of battles together. They were like a pack of Yalmors linked at the ears." Coran said.
"Wow. Yeah, that's definitely not us. Maybe Lily and Keith, but not us." Lance groaned, laying back down.
"Alright I've had enough of y'all's bullshit," Lily spat, walking towards them, "get up! Now. MOVE. You're just as lazy as my interns!" She nudged each of them off the couch with her foot.
"See? Dr. Thaldycon gets it! You guys should try working out on the training deck." Coran said.
"What?!" Keith exclaimed as he was literally kicked off the couch.
"Move it Cocaine!" Lily yelled, grabbing him by his ear.
"Ow. Owowowowowwo" Keith said as he was pulled along by Lily. The others quickly got to their feet and followed them.
*at the training deck*
The six paladins were standing back to back in a circle.
"Ok, listen up guys. The Paladin code demands you put your team members' safety before your own. Some of you will not have trouble with this concept and some of you will. A swarm of drones is about to attack. It's up to each of you to do everything you can to protect the members of your team." Coran explained as several small drones descended upon them. Lily immediately summoned her bayard. The others were given blue holographic shields.
"Get ready." Shiro said as the drones started to fire at them. Hunk ducked and allowed Pidge to be hit, which made him fall into an opening in the floor. Hunk was shot soon after.
"Protect your teammates or there will be no one left to protect you!" The remaining four huddled closer.
"Time to increase intensity!" Coran said, making the drones fly faster and shoot more frequently. Lily, Lance, Keith and Shiro closed the space between them.
"You keeping up over there, Keith?" Lance asked.
"Just concentrate on keeping me safe." Keith responded.
"You guys are insufferable." Lily grumbled.
"Pfft I own this drill. You're the one who needs to concentrate" Lance said before unintentionally letting a laser hit Keith. He was struck out soon after. Only Lily and Shiro remained.
