Hyuck.

"Great job training, you guys. We're really getting the hang of Voltron and the Orange Lion." Shiro said to the team.

"Seriously, how far do you think my lion kicked that alien ship? Must have been like a mile!" Lance boasted.

"Yeah, that'll come in handy when the empire challenges us to a soccer match." Lily retorted.

"Hey, I did something cool and you're jealous." He replied.

"No. You kicked the ship, but you also kicked the Orange Lion. That's like a knight kicking his horse. Then we fell." Keith replied.

"The falling part was Hunks fault." Lance responded.

"Hey!"

"Alright, save your energy for fighting Zarkon!" Shiro said, taking a seat at the table. Lily sat down between Keith and Lance to keep them from arguing more.

"Hello guys, how was the Voltron workout?" Coran asked, walking into the room with a dish in hand.

"We're getting there. Are you and Allura getting the castle ready so we can leave? I feel like we're sitting ducks here on Arus." Shiro replied.

"Just about. In the mean time, I made you guys an authentic Paladin lunch!" Coran said, setting the dish down and taking the lid off. The food looked..like it shouldn't even be food. It took everything in Lily's system not to dry heave.

"Coran, you just got me hooked on that goo and now you're switching it up?" Hunk asked.

"This is packed with nutrients." He replied.

"It smells disgusting.." Lily muttered.

"I know! That's how you know it's healthy. Come on, doc, back me up!" Coran replied. Keith and Lance straight up left the room.

"Coran, we're on a planet with fresh herbs and spices. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to head to the kitchen and spice things up." Hunk said, walking out of the room.

"Open the hatch! Food lion coming through!" Coran said to Lily, holding a spoonful of that "food" to her.

"Umm.. Allura said there was an operating room with simulations and books somewhere around here, I'm gonna go check that out. K bye!" She said, quickly leaving the room. Well, Allura wasn't lying. The castle's OR was twice the size of the nicest operating rooms back on earth. There was an entire shelf full of books on alien anatomy, procedures and medical mysteries. She decided to learn an Altean suturing technique. It took her a few tries, but she managed to do a few decent stitches on a suturing pad.

"And there...we..go" she said, finishing her sixth successful stitch.

"Hm," she said, "not bad for a few days off."

'BEEP BEEP' the alarms went off.. again.

"Man- the empire must hate knowledge!" She yelled, dropping her suture kit and running to the bridge. There, everyone was looking at a screen. She saw a tiny alien's head pop out from behind a rock.

"What is that?" She asked.

"I don't know. Maybe a local Arusian." Allura replied.

"He's approaching the castle." She said as the tiny thing made a dash for another rock.

"Aww!"

"Doesn't look too dangerous." Lance said.

"You never know" Keith said, summoning his bayard.

"Keith, goddamn- you're bloodthirsty today!" Lily exclaimed, smacking his arm.

"No. Alteans beleive in peace first. Let's go welcome them." Allura said, walking off.
