".. I can't tell if he looks healthy or not.." Hunk said as everyone was watching Lance's cryo pod.
"I think he's breathing weird.. Doc, what do you think?" Pidge asked.
"His biorhythms Look fine to me.." Lily replied, furiously scribbling down notes in a tiny journal.
"Oh come on!" Keith exclaimed impatiently, tapping on the glass.
"Not yet! Just a few more ticks!" Allura said, swatting his hand away.
"How much better do you think he's gonna get in a few more ticks?!" Keith exclaimed.
"And what exactly is a tick?" Pidge asked.
"You know, a time slice." Allura replied.
"Like a second?" Lily asked, looking up from her journal for a brief second.
"What's a second?" Allura asked.
"Like this." Pidge replied, pulling out his phone and showing her the clock.
"I'm not sure. I think ticks are bigger. Coran, do you have a ticker?" She asked.
"Right here princess!" He replied, pulling a ticker out of his pocket.
"I think ticks are a little slower.." Hunk said, squinting his eyes at the device. Lily barely paid attention to the 'time contest' the others were having. She continued to record and monitor Lance's condition, until the pod opened, making her jump in fear.
".. My heart just stopped for a minute." She said as Lance stumbled out of the pod. She silently followed him as he walked towards where the others were huddled.
"You guys having a clock party?" Lance asked.
"Aww Lance you just ruined it- HEY! LANCE!" Hunk exclaimed, hugging him.
"What happened?" Lance said.
"We can tell you all about it while you get something to eat." Allura said.
"Are you able to walk?" Lily asked, finally putting her journal in her pocket.
"Talking? Eating? Are you two asking me on a date?" He asked slyly.
"...Starve." Lily replied.
*time skip*
"You'd be Sendak's prisoner right now, if not for Pidge." Allura said.
"Well, you wouldn't have survived the explosion if Hunk and Coran hadn't gotten a new crystal." Pidge said.
"Wow, thanks everybody! Sounds like the mice did more than you two, though" Lance said to Lily and Keith.
"I punched Sendak!" Keith exclaimed.
"Yeah. Apparently after I emerged from a coma and shot his arm off."
"I had to seduce him! Then I punched him in the dick! You try and make out with an evil space Furby and see how you like it!" Lily said.
"We had a bonding moment. I cradled you in my arms!" Keith yelled.
"Nope. Don't remember. Didn't happen. And WAIT- LILY, YOU HAD TO WHAT?!" Lance yelled.
"Yep. I have the security camera footage." Pidge replied, sending a sly smirk towards Lily.
"You gotta send me that." Lance laughed.
"So what happened Lily's crazy boyfriend?" He asked.
