Niall's Side of the Story

Just a heads up, this next chapter will be in Niall's POV.

Niall's POV

"Alright, I'm going to go load some of these presents into your car," I say with a smile.

I grab all of the presents and head out to the car I just bought for Kimberly. It felt good to get my girlfriend something good for her birthday. I can provide beautiful gifts for her. I can't imagine myself with anyone else beside Kimberly. I pop the trunk open and start loading some of the presents. All of a sudden this girl comes up asking for my autograph, of course I say yes. I love signing autographs and taking pictures with my fans, they are so supportive!

I take the pen for her and start signing my name, when all of a sudden I find her lips on mine! How did that happen? I'm so shocked I can't even move! I hear a loud thump on the ground and look up. I see Kimberly running away from me with such a sadness on her eyes, words can't describe it. I know how that must have looked, especially when I didn't pull away. I was just so shocked! It was her birthday too! I'm such a screw up! I call after her, but she keeps running. I can't blame her, I would have probably done the same if I saw her kissing some other guy. Just the thought angers me.

She jumps into her car and drives off, I automatically jump into mine and follow her. Darn it! She's good, using the gift I got for her against me. I follow her until I reach a red light. I'd run it just to get to Kimberly, but if I get any bad publicity Syco might fire me, since I'm still new to the company. By the time the light turns green, Kimberly is long gone and out of sight. I try calling her, but of course she doesn't answer. I'm about to hunt down that girl that ruined my relationship with Kimberly, but it was my fault for not pushing her away, I think to myself. If Kimberly saw me push her away, would that have saved our relationship? How long was she standing there? Ugh, I screwed everything up.

I drive around checking her favorite places to see if she's there, but she's not. I even check Nando's, okay so maybe that's not her favorite place, it's mine. I checked anyways and ordered myself something to eat, but ended up just pushing it away, too upset to eat.

What was I going to do? Kimberly wasn't my first girlfriend, but she was the first one to actually mean something to me. I couldn't stop replaying the image of her running away from me.

I could see the disappointment in her eyes. I was the foolish one that she anointed with her heart, and I tore it apart. Geez! What a mess I made upon her innocence. No woman in the world deserves this.

I head back to the party, maybe she called Louis and he knows where she is. If she called him, he would know how I hurt her and definitely not tell me where she is. He'd probably murder me on the spot for hurting his best friend on her birthday.

When I pull up I see Kimberley's parents, Louis and Cassidy still cleaning up.

"Hey Niall, where have you been?" Louis asks as I step out of the car.

Okay, well he definitely doesn't know what happened or he wouldn't be talking to me and he wouldn't have asked where I was. I definitely wasn't going to tell him about the incident.

"Uh, no where, just needed gas in my car," I lied.

"Oh, okay. Where's Kims?" He asks.

"I think she was taking her presents home or something," I said, which wasn't technically a lie. She was taking her presents somewhere since I loaded then in her trunk.

"Oh okay, well you wanna help us finish cleaning up?" said Louis.

"Don't worry about it, I'll just send some clean up crew to take care of it," I reply. I walk away not wanting to talk anymore. Where could she be? If she just let me explain, maybe we could work things out.

Maybe I can be like Taylor Swift and make a million bucks off an album writing songs about Kimberly and I's breakup, I think to myself trying to cheer myself up. It doesn't work.

After a couple hours, Louis, Cassidy, and Kimberley's parents leave the park. I stay there just sitting on the slide replaying everything in my head over and over again. Some kids tried sliding down and slammed into me, but I didn't pay any attention. They just reminded me of Kimberly and how much she loved kids. Everything here reminds me of her.

I stay at the park until sunset and the park rangers politely ask me to leave. I slowly walk back to my car and head home. I'd talk to Kimberly tomorrow and explain everything. It didn't matter what it took. I would do everything I could to show how much she really meant to me, and maybe, just maybe, she'd forgive me.
