Another side of Liam

"Oh my gosh, Louis!" I️ blurt out.

"Kims!" Louis playfully blurts out back to me.

Liam and I️ stand awkwardly next to each, waiting for someone to say something. He looks between me and Liam, slightly confused.

"Uhhhh, is everything okay? What's with the awkward silence?" Louis asks jokingly.

"Um, nothing!" I️ hastily reply. "Let's go to your room to talk." I️ pull Louis out of the living room, never looking back to see Liam's reaction.

"Look Kims, I️ know you're probably mad at me because you probably figured out who I️ was out with, but I️ mean come on! Have you seen Mila?" Louis says, sighing after he says her name as if she's some kind of goddess.

I️ wasn't sure what to do, should I tell him that his twin just kissed me out of nowhere? Or should I️ just pretend like it never happened and go off on Louis for hanging out with some other girl while his girlfriend was out of town.

"Ya know, I️ don't know if things with Cassidy are are working out." Louis starts, "Mila is just so-"

"LIAM KISSED ME!" I️ blurt out.

"What?!? My Liam? Liam Payne? My fraternal twin brother Liam?" Louis sputters.

I️ nod my head.

Louis pushes me out of the way as he burst out of his room.

"LIAM JAMES PAYNE!!!!" Louis shouts from across the house.

I️ hurriedly follow Louis into the living room.

Liam looks at me and says, "I'm guessing you told him about the kiss?"

I️ nod slowly, and a bit timidly, not sure exactly what to say.

"What do you think you're doing kissing my best friend? Kimberly is off limits! Ok? OFF LIMITS!" Louis says, frustrated at the situation.

"Calm down little bro," Liam replies cooly. "It was just a kiss, it doesn't mean anything."

I️ was half offended and half relieved.

"You know I️ hate when you say that! We're twins, we're the same age! I'm not your little anything!" Louis shouts back. "Jut stay away from my friends ok?"

"Whatever, I️ can't bother to hang out with your lame group anyways," Liam says.

Louis turns around furious and heads back to his room. I️ follow right behind, but before I️ can turn around, I️ catch Liam give me a wink.

"I️ never knew your brother could be such a jerk," I️ say to Louis once I️ catch up to him.

"I️ guess you just never had the pleasure of gettin to now him," Louis replies sarcastically.

"Soooo," I️ say awkwardly.

"So what  brings you here today, Ms. Spade," Louis asks pretentiously.

"I'm here on behalf of your girlfriend," I️ answer sternly.

"Oh, ha ha" Louis smiles sheepishly and quickly looks away.

"Yea, remember her?" I️ ask. "What happened to you Louis, this isn't you. Chasing after some new girl? I️ mean, do you know how much this is hurting Cassidy?"

"Kims, you don't understand, I️ think I'm actually falling for this girl," Louis replies with a smile.

"No Louis, you don't understand. I️ know exactly what Cassidy is going through because my boyfriend is acting the exact same way!" I️ say, raising my voice a little. "Well, ex-boyfriend" I️ add.

"What? You and Niall broke up?" Louis asks, concerned.

"Well, I️ don't exactly know what we are right now. I️ told him that we needed to take a break, and I️ gave him back my promise ring," I️ say quietly.

"Oh Kims, I'm so sorry. I️ wasn't there for you, but you have to know, Niall felt really bad about ditching you to hang out with Mila. He stopped hanging out with us because he felt so guilty," Louis explained.

I️ couldn't help but smile a little. This must mean that Niall really did think of me as the only one for him. If he could resist Mila's control, that meant he was really committed to me.

"Don't think that you're off the hook mister," I️ say, pointing at Louis as I️ rush out of his room.

I️ had to find Niall. I️ jumped to conclusions, I️ didn't even let him explain himself! Every couple has hiccups in their relationship. I️ mean, yes, Niall faltered a little bit and stared a little bit too long at a girl, but who was I️ to judge. It's not like I️ haven't taken a second glance at a guy, that doesn't mean I️ don't still love Niall, it just means that I'm human.

I'm almost to the door when I️ feel a hand grab my wrist. I️ quickly turn around to see Liam.

"You wanna pick up where we left off?" He questions.
