Harry gets up to leave.
"Harry, no please wait," I call after him.
"Kimberly, it's fine, I understand, it just wasn't meant to be," he said, giving me a sad smile.
It hurt. He was never mine, but I lost him anyways, and it hurt.
I didn't know what to do or where to go, so I just sat there alone drinking my
Frappé. I watch through the window as people walked by, I watch as couples walked by, holding hands and laughing.
Usually when situations like this happened, I always had Louis to talk to.
Lou. I missed Lou. I don't care, I had to forgive him. I missed how he always knew what to say, his quirky smile always made my frown magically disappear. I use to drive over to his house whenever something like this happened.
I jump into my car and head over to his house, desperate for someone to talk to.
I pull up and knock on the door, Liam, his fraternal twin, answers it.
"Hey Kimberly, what are you doing here?" He asked.
"Oh, um, I was just looking for Lou, is he here? I kinda wanted to talk to him," I ask.
"No, he left with some girl," he responded.
Mila! It had to be! Cassidy was out of town!!
"You can come in if you want though," Liam gestured for me to come in, "he should be back soon.
I nodded and walked in.
Liam plops down on the couch and turns his attention to the TV. A show I've never seen is playing, and he seems to be pretty into it.
I awkwardly sit down at the opposite end of the couch, not knowing what else to really do.
I don't know, it's kinda weird. I've known Louis all my life, yet I never really got to know Liam.
Yeah, we've been in the same grade the entire time, but he was always in the higher up, smarter classes, so I never really saw him.
"Sooooo," I say casually, looking around the room.
He looks up at me, waiting for me to continue.
"What's been up with you?" I ask, a desperate attempt at trying to break the ice.
He laughs a little, "not much," he replies casually, "what about you?"
"Not much," I say.
He goes back to watching his show.
I look at my phone, wishing I could speed up time so I could see Louis.
About 20 minutes later, Liam's show ends, and he turns off the TV.
He turns to me, "so you want to talk to me about your problems?" He asks.
And just when I thought things couldn't get more awkward.
"Um, I think I'm good," I respond.
"Aw, come on, I can play therapist too," he replies playfully.
I smile. "I don't think you want to hear my rant about my problems," I say, laughing a little.
"Are you kidding? I'd love to hear about the life of Kimberly Spade " he says laughing.
He scoots closer to me, so that he's right next to me.
I look up at him in confusion. My eyes meet his.
It feels like eternity that he just stares into my eyes, and out of nowhere his lips are on mine!
I literally can't if my life depended on it, tell you how they got there!
He pulls away, and I'm left there stunned.
Did that really just happen? I've known Liam all my life, well kinda, we never talked, but I had never thought of him this way!
I'm about to ask what the heck that was for, when the front door slams shut.
Liam and I both jump, startled.
"Oh hey Kims!" Louis says, enthusiastically.
