Gotta Be You

New year, new schedules. We all head to the front office to pick up our schedules. Niall and I held hands while walking, but Cassidy wouldn't even look at Louis.

"I hope we get a lot of the same classes like last year," I say to Niall.

"Me too," Niall replies, giving me a light kiss.

He's kissed me dozens of times, but each time he does, it always sends a shiver down my spine.

We finally get to the office and separate into the appropriate loneliness to pickup our schedules. The lines are divided by last name. A-K, L-T, U-Z. I got in line with Louis and Cassidy.

When we all have our schedules, we regroup and see what classes we have together. We all have the same homeroom, except for Cassidy.

"I hope that hot girl is in our homeroom," said Louis to Niall, who nods along.

Cassidy hits Louis in the arm and gives him a glare, but Louis just shrugs it off. I don't bother glaring at Niall, I got used to the girl issue a while back. Niall has assured me that I'm the only one for him millions of times, so I wasn't worried. I think this was bothering Cassidy even more because this is probably the first time that she wasn't the prettiest or the one that all the guys were after.

We go back to looking at our schedules.
I have 4 classes with Louis and Niall, and 1 with Cassidy. Out of 7 classes, I thought I had a pretty good schedule. It gave me 2 classes to meet some new people and make some new friends.

The warning bell rings and we all decide to head to our homerooms. Cassidy decides to walk with us to our homeroom, she says because she could use the exercise, but I know it's really just because she wants to keep an eye out for the hot girl and Louis. I think it's cute though, she really cares about Louis, she feels insecure and threatened by this new girl and she's doing her best to hold onto Louis.

We arrive at room 623, our homeroom. We enter the classroom and see the hot girl.

"Yes!" Louis and Niall whisper shout.

"Dude!" said Louis to Niall, "if we have homeroom with her, who knows how many more classes we'll have with her!!"

Niall's face lit up.

I could see Cassidy getting angrier by the minute, and to be honest, when I saw Niall's face light up, I was getting kind of angry too.

Another bell rang, signaling that the first day of school was going to start momentarily.

"You better get going," I say to Cassidy.

Cassidy looks at the two boys bitterly and turns to me. "Keep an eye on him for me, would you," Cassidy asks.

"Of course," I respond, "Believe me, after everything Niall and I have been through, I'm not letting him slip away to her."

Cassidy nods in approval of my speech before turning and walking to her homeroom.

I turn around to the boys and see them staring and whispering about the new girl. I roll my eyes, they look like a bunch of middle school girls gathered together, daring each other to go talk to their crushes.

The final bell rings and we all take a seat. I sit in between Niall and Louis, that way they are both close enough to reprimand if they get a little too googly eyed for the new girl.

"Welcome students to your first day of junior year! I am Mr. Dearmin and I will be your homeroom teacher. Now today we are going to go over the basic standards and rules that must be followed this year, it's honestly nothing that you haven't heard before, but it's protocol. Before we start though, I want to do role call. Now I know this might seem babyish but it's the best way to see who's here and for you to learn each other's names. So when I call your name, I want you to stand up," said Mr. Dearmin. "Alright, let's get started."

Mr. Dearmin went through a long list of names and each time, a person would stand up and we would have to say Hi, insert name here welcome to junior year! Honestly, I thought it was kinda stupid and a waste of time. Niall's name came up and I couldn't help but stifle a laugh. He stood up kind of embarrassed and we all recited our little verse and he sat right back down.

Then, Mr. Dearmin called the name, Mila Nobrieve, and the hot girl stood up. Niall and Louis let out I guess what you could call a gasp, but all I could do was roll my eyes.

Even Mr. Dearmin had a lingering stare at Mila, which was kinda creepy.

This girl was definitely gonna cause some problems.

Mr. Dearmin finally finished calling role and started a new lecture about ground rules. This day could not be more boring. When the bell finally rings, everyone literally races for the door.

I look at my schedule and see that I go to trigonometry with Niall and Louis. I look up trying to find them, but they are long gone, and coincidentally so is Mila.
