When Joyce and Hopper finally show up at the police station, Joyce immediately demands her son is to be uncuffed. That it until, the two officers from before show Hopper what they found in the trunk of Jonathan's car. Avery stood outside as she listened to Nancy and Jonathan explain everything to Joyce, Hopper and her father.

A commotion caught the girls' attention, a woman shouting at the police officer. Avery walked towards them, seeing a woman and her son stood talking to the officer. Avery furrowed her eyebrows as she looked at the boy, her eyes widening when she realised who he was.

"Name and badge number, both of you!" Troy's mum exclaimed, Hopper now noticing the commotion too.

"What the hell is going on here?" Jim asked, walking towards the five.

"Chief..." Powell trailed off.

"These men are humiliating my son." Troy's mum interrupted, gesturing towards the two men.

"No, no, no, okay, that's not true." Powell disagreed.

"Yes."

"There was some kind of fight, Chief—"

"A psychotic child broke his arm!" She exclaimed.

"A little girl, Chief. A little one." Powell stated.

"That tone!" The woman shouted, pointing at him. "Do you hear that tone?"

"Honestly, I'm just trying to state a fact." He shrugged.

"I don't have time for this." Hopper sighed. "Will you please take a statement..."

The man then mouthed 'and get her out?'

"So what'd this girl look like?" Powell asked Troy.

"She had no hair and she was bleeding from her nose." Troy explained. "Like a freak."

"What'd you just say?" Hopper asked turning back and walking over to the boy.

"I said she's a freak!"
