"Sierra," Hermione greeted in a whisper, taking a seat in front of me. I looked up from the book I was reading and smiled at her with a curt nod.
"Hey, Hermione."
"What are you reading?" she asked, turning her head to see the book cover. I showed it to her.
"Well I figured since one made Harry and I practically pass out on the train, I would read a little about Dementors. I mean, I know the basics. They make someone feel like they'll never be happy again, and I know all about the kiss, but that doesn't explain why we fainted. Do you know anything?"
She sighed. "Unfortunately, I was in here yesterday looking too. I can tell it really bothers Harry. I couldn't find an explanation, either."
I huffed and closed the book with a snap. Dust clouded around us and we coughed. The librarian glared over at us over the top of her glasses and I smiled at her nervously. She looked back at what she was writing.
"I didn't know we could get in trouble for coughing," I whispered to Hermione making her giggle.

"So you're saying that you're not at all excited about our first ever Care of Magical Creatures class?" I asked Draco, shoving some mashed potatoes into my mouth.
"No," he scowled. "If you ask me, I think it was a rather dumb decision to make that oaf a teacher." He glanced over at Hagrid who was eating his lunch happily at the Staff Table. I glared at Draco, shoving him.
"Well I don't," I said. "I think he'll make a great teacher."
"Ah, that's because you like him, love," he said. Then he glared over at the Gryffindor table. "At least you'll be with your friends-"
"Still a little jealous, I see," I mused, entertained. He nudged me roughly making some of the water from my glass splash out. I laughed and Blaise cleaned up the mess by pointing his wand at it.
"Don't go making a mess, now," Blaise joked.
"It's him!" I giggled, pushing Draco's arm. He almost dropped the food he was going to put in his mouth and he grinned slyly at me. He scooped up some mashed potatoes in his spoon and held it like he was going to flick it.
"No!" I yelled along with the rest of our group. He chuckled, putting the spoon down.

As we descended down the hill towards Hagrid's hut, where our Care of Magical Creatures class was, I was excited despite Draco not being. I walked between Draco and Jalen as Airam said, "I'm surprised I'm actually excited!"
"Of course you are," Goyle said. "You, Sierra, and Jalen are all the same-"
"We are not!" the three of us barked. Goyle smirked, looking forward.
"But I am excited," Jalen whispered in my ear, making me chuckle. I glanced over at Draco.
"That's why you two are my best friends!" I sang loudly. Just as expected, Draco's hand went around my waist and he yanked me to him roughly. I look up at him with a mischievous smirk but his face is blank. "Aw, why so down?" I asked, pinching his cheek lightly. He rolled his eyes but smiled down at me and let me go as Airam said: "Hey, we're her girl best friends." I looked over at her and she winked making me smile.
We arrived at Hagrid's hut, merging together with the rest of the Slytherins in our class. I looked back up at the sloping lawns we had just came down to see the trio making their way down. Draco was looking at them too. He looked back at me. "You'll stay with me, right?" he asked.
