I stood there with my back pressed against the door, my arm bent behind me and my fingers still lightly connected with the knob as Draco gawked at me. Half of me wanted to lunge at him and hug him already, but there was still that stubborn part of me that had my eyes flickering across his bare torso and narrowing.

I crossed my arms over my chest and cleared my throat. "So," I began slowly, "I reckon you're heartbroken over your girlfriend yelling at you, hm? What did you do to make her call you an 'absolute git'?"

Instead of verbally responding to my jab, Draco got to his feet—his features contorted in remorse—and strode over to me. I held out my hands to block him, but there was no stopping him as he wrapped his arms around me and clutched me to him in a tight hug. No matter how internally pleased I was, I wiggled to get out of his grasp. His grip didn't loosen in the slightest.

"Sierra," he moaned, hiding his face between my shoulder and neck, "I'm sorry, love. I don't know what got into me that night—I was just so pissed that you went with Potter—I didn't mean to kiss that dumb Gryffindor. You can't honestly believe I wanted her over you—"

"Oh, yeah, sure," I grunted, my voice slightly muffled into his bare chest. "She just left your room with her clothes all ruffled and you're in here shirtless. That can't mean you wanted her at all—"

Draco pulled back enough to look at me, but I still couldn't move because he had my body trapped between his and the door. "Fine — yes — when she came in here I gave in to her since she couldn't seem to resist my charm, but then she left because— Well, it doesn't matter, just please—"

"No, no, I'm curious as to why she left," I stated, looking up at him expectantly. "It's the least you can tell me, since you confused me the way you did and now have the nerve to have me pinned against this door. Come on, tell me why she stormed out of here and seemed to be able to 'resist the charm' of Draco Malfoy."

Draco's lips suddenly slid up into a cocky smirk, and all of the hidden fondness I felt for him nearly disappeared into thin air. "Hm, you think I have charm, do you, love?"

I elbowed him so hard in the stomach that he nearly backed away enough for me to escape from my position. "Don't you dare flirt with me after what you've done, Malfoy!"

"Malfoy?" he questioned incredulously. "Merlin, do you really hate me that much?"

"Don't be ridiculous," I said with an eye roll. "You know I could never— Oh, it doesn't matter. Just tell me why she left before I force my way out of here. You know I can."

"Then why haven't you?" he asked slyly, smirking down at me. My stomach fluttered and I wanted to smack myself in the face. Deep down, I knew why I didn't just shove him away. I liked

I gritted my teeth. "Fine, don't tell me then—"

Draco suddenly sighed harshly. "I called her your name," he blurted.

I had to blink a few times in order to process his sudden keenness to answer, and when I looked up at his face, I realized that he actually wasn't keen to answer at all; he was purposefully avoiding my eyes.

"I was caught up in the moment with her and I...called her your name," he repeated in a mumble.

Suddenly he backed away from me and slumped down onto the bed. I lingered where I was for a while before I couldn't help but follow after him. When I stood beside where he was sitting on the bed, I had to clench my hands together to stop myself from reaching out and placing a hand on his shoulder.
