On Christmas morning, I awoke to sadly, being the only person in the room. Airam, Jalen, and Pansy had all gone home for Christmas like normal people.

I rubbed my eyes and stretched before my light brown eyes landed on the horde of presents that sat at the foot of my bed. I smiled happily and hopped up, kneeling beside them. As I ripped them open, I realized they were all from either Narcissa, Lucius, Airam, Jalen, Theodore, Blaise, Crabbe, Goyle, Harry, Ron, Hermione, Fred, and George. Not one was from Draco, but I knew why. It was because he wanted to give it to me in person, just like I wanted to give him his watch.

I threw my hair up in to a messy and loose bun before I slipped on some socks and trotted down the stairs to the common room.

Draco was sitting in an armchair, running his hands through his disheveled hair. When he looked up at me, his face broke out into a smirk. "Well don't you look lovely this morning." He eyed my messed up hair and I stuck my tongue at at him before pouncing onto him, making him grunt.

"Merry Christmas, prick," I said making him chuckle as he hugged me to him tightly.

"Merry Christmas, snake," he said, mocking the twin's nickname for me. I rolled my eyes and smacked his forehead lightly, making him scrunch up his nose.

"It's a better nickname than 'Rid'," I said, referring to Theodore's nickname suggestion for me a while back. He nodded his add in reluctant agreement before I got off of him. "Now," I said. "You want to go eat?"

___________--

"Your hair looks fine," Draco reassured as the two of us sauntered toward the Great Hall in the generally empty corridor. I was walking with my head bent down, trying to fix my messy bun into a neater one.

"Don't lie to me," I said with difficulty, and then flipped my head back up. Draco eyes my newly done bun impressively.

"Well now I'm not," he said as we entered the Hall and walked over to the completely cleared off Slytherin table. The entire Hall was void of all students besides a few. The trio was sitting down at the Gryffindor table, but they were the only ones.

"Oh?" I asked Draco with a raise of my eyebrows as two plates of food popped up in front of us. "So you were lying before? Ha, I was right then."

"No!" Draco said hurriedly. "I was simply stating."

I let out a cackle at his bemused expression and then gave him a cheeky smile. "Blimey I was only kidding. You really do need to learn how to take a joke, Drakey--"

"Ms. Riddle."

I looked up at Snape with a sausage hanging unattractively out of my mouth and dropped it quickly. His lips twitched upward as Draco snorted and I smacked his arm. Snape's eyes darted over to Draco. "Good morning, Mr. Malfoy."

"Good morning, Professor."

"What is it you needed?" I asked. "Professor?" I grinned cheekily as Snape studied my face, his amused expression gone.

He began speaking in a voice so low that Draco and I had to lean forward on our elbows to hear him. "I just wanted to inform you that a present has been sent up to your room."

"Now?" I asked, standing from my seat. Draco followed in pursuit with a clang of his fork.

"Now," Snape responded coolly.

"Who's it from?"

"You'll find that out when you get up there, I assure you. Merry Christmas, Ms. Riddle and Mr. Malfoy." And with that, he turned and swiftly made his way back up to the staff table.
