A/N
Okay so this is kind of what Sierra's eyes look like lol. It's not that noticeable that her eyes are red unless you stare directly at her face. But yeah, I guess this is it somewhat just a little more--noticeable...? Idk how to explain it really just her eyes are red but not RED if you know what I mean lmao okay bye .. ?
I ran into my room and slammed the door as hard as I could, making a huge booming sound. I threw myself onto my bed, shoving my face into one of pillows, before I let out a good muffled scream.
"Sierra?" Narcissa called, knocking on my door softly.
I yanked my head up, blowing a few strands of hair out of my face. "What?"
"Draco said he's sorry--"
I scoffed. "Yeah right!"
"Just come back out and finish your dinner," she pleaded desperately. I heard her place her hand on the knob of my door and groaned loudly.
These past few weeks of summer have been absolute hell. A full on war had began since the moment Draco and I stepped off the Hogwarts Express. I thought it was bad when we were simply not speaking to each other, but now, the mansion was never quiet. Screams and glass shattering echoed around the dim halls on a daily basis, causing Narcissa's nails to be chewed off due to nerves, despite how many times she magically regrew them. Just because Draco and I didn't have our wands, didn't mean we couldn't still cause damage. There was even a huge hole in the wall right across my bedroom beside Draco's door because he had kept banging on my door and Nagini had gotten tired of it, yanked the door open with her tail, and lunged at him. He had dodged her and she pounded into the wall. The hole wouldn't fix no matter how many times Lucius tried to magically. There was even a time when Draco and I went tumbling down the stairs because I had lunged at him and he fell back, taking me with him. That's only a couple of the deadly things that have happened this summer. Draco and I have had our fights as children, but never this bad. We hadn't intentionally tried to hurt each other; we would only really wrestle around on the ground and throw things at each other, but still, it's bad.
"Fine," I grumbled, tumbling off of my bed and marching over to the door. I threw it open and Narcissa flinched back.
"Oh, good," she breathed. "You don't have a lamp." She grabbed my arm gently and pulled me out of the room. "Now come and eat. He's not going to bother you."
"He better not because I swear I'll--"
"Let's try to keep everyone in the house alive, shall we?" she said as she placed a gentle hand on my back and guided me down the stairs.
I sighed as we descended down the stairs and then entered the kitchen. Tanny, our house elf, kept glancing back worriedly as she scrubbed dishes at the sink and Lucius was leaning over toward Draco, muttering something in his ear while the notorious boy sat glaring down at his plate. When they heard Narcissa and I enter, Lucius sat back, clearing his throat, and Draco looked up at me with a smirk as I reluctantly took my seat in front of him and Narcissa sat beside me.
It was quiet for a couple of minutes while we ate, the only sound being the running water at the sink where Tanny was cleaning, until Draco spoke:
"Did you have a nice tantrum?"
"Draco!" Narcissa hissed while my grip on my fork tightened painfully. I wanted to wince as my chest burned but I didn't.
I finally looked up at him to see him smirking as always. I smiled over-sweetly. "Wonderful," I gritted out. His smirk dropped off his face and I averted my angered eyes to my plate, stabbing it with my fork and making a clinking sound.
"You know, I really think you should go get checked for anger issues," Draco continued, his eyebrows jumping.
"Draco, be quiet," Lucius growled.
Control. Control yourself. He's your bestfriend. You love him. Don't do anything you'll regret. Control yourself, I thought to myself.
"Maybe they have a specific department for it in St. Mungos--"
"That's it!" I stood up roughly and threw my fork onto my plate before lunging at Draco from across the table. He screamed and fell back in his seat before scrambling up and bolting out the kitchen. I knew Lucius had grabbed me but I didn't feel it as I heard another chair scrape across the floor and Lucius fell back onto the ground and I took off after Draco, ignoring Narcissa's screams.
"Lucius! Get up! Stop them!"
"Come back here, you two!" Lucius commanded as I ran after Draco while he screamed frantically. I was only a few feet from him but couldn't seem to get any closer as he screamed for help as we sprinted down the dimly lit halls. He thundered up the stairs and I hurried after him, trying to grab the back of his shirt.
"Dad, stop her!" Draco cried and I could hear Lucius right behind me. Draco's shirt slipped right through my fingers and he screamed louder.
We ran all the way up to the third floor before Draco dashed into a small living room up there and I chased him around the couch about four times before jumping over and tackling him. We tumbled on the ground and began struggling to get on top of each other and pin the other down. He grabbed my hair and pulled me back and I grabbed him by the front of the shirt and repeatedly slammed his body into the ground as Lucius shouted for us to get off each other.
Suddenly there was a bang and a flash of white light and for a crazy second, I thought I had just died as my body collided with a wall. But I blinked and got up onto my hands and knees, realizing Lucius had just blasted us apart. Draco was groaning on the other side of the room and there was a huge, transparent wall in the middle of the room, separating Draco and Lucius from me; a Shield Charm.
I scrambled up and stomped up to the Shield angrily as Draco scooted back on the ground, glaring at me. Lucius stood beside Draco with his arms crossed, and averted his irritated eyes from his son and up to me.
"Let me through!" I demanded, hitting the Shield with my fist.
"Not until you calm--"
"No. You tell him to quit his bull--"
"She's the one who can't control her anger!" Draco insisted hurriedly, jumping to his feet and pointing a slim, pale, finger at me.
The light on the ceiling glinted off of something on his hand and I squinted at it. My heart sped up noticing what it was: The Forever ring he had given me the past Christmas. I looked down at my hand quickly to see I still had it on as well.
I looked up with narrowed eyes. "You know what?" I spat. "I'm done! You want to know how done I am with all this?" I pulled at the ring on my finger and threw it at the Shield. It bounced off and landed back at my feet but I didn't care, Draco had noticed it. Then, with a heavy heart and a lump in my throat, I stormed out of the room.
