I walked downstairs after getting ready to school. Mom and dad were both sitting around the table.

"Morning." I said to them.

"Good morning, honey." Mom said.

"Hey, Ames?" Dad turned to me.

"Yeah?"

"What are you doing after school today?"

"Umm, nothing. Why?"

"I have an MIT talk today. Wanna come."

"Sure. Can I borrow a car?"

"Sure."

"Thanks, dad." I kissed him on the cheek.

"Honey, call me later, okay?" Mom said.

"Yeah. See you later."

I walked to the basement and chose a car from dad's collection. I got in and drive to school.

"Hey, Ames." Liz said to me when I locked the car.

"Hey."

"Nice car." She joked.

"Thanks. Have you seen Jake?"

"Umm yeah. Behind you."

I turned to face Jake, my boyfriend. "Hey!" I said, happily.

"I see you got a new car." He said to me and then kissed me.

"It's not mine. It's dad's. I guess being rich came good for me." He chuckled and we started walking inside.

My locker was right next to Peter Parker's one. Nerd, sweet. Also my science project partner.

Flash and Jake have been best friends since high school started. I don't know why though. I guess they enjoy picking on him together.

Jake bumped into Peter on purpose, causing him to fall on the locker. "Stop it." I muttered.

"Why?"

I looked away and then looked back at Jake. "I have maths first. I'll see you later, okay?"

He nodded and then kissed me and walked away.

I walked towards Peter. "Hey Parker." I said to him. "Parker's friend."

"It's... it's Nad." His friend said.

"Yeah, okay. Parker, our project is due next week."

"I know, Amelia."

"Okay... do you want to come over after school tomorrow to work on it?"

He looked at me. "At your house?"

"Yeah. Why? Is that a problem?"

"No, no. Okay, sure. Tomorrow."

"Okay great. Umm look, I'm sorry about Jake."

"It's fine."

"It's not."

"So I don't care."

"Fine. I'll see you later then." I walked away and into my maths class.
