Pretty tears.

Um hello, so if any of you are confused, I'm here to clear that Jessica has two nicknames, jenny and jess. I'll try to make this chapter a little bit longer than the previous one.
                                  .......

I had my coffee and my cake already and I was gazing at the sunset. The view wasn't very great from this cafe windows. Why would it even be.

I want to climb up a hill from where I can look at the whole city. That's one of my wishes. One day, I'll do that.

I had to force myself to get out of that coffee heaven and drive to Claire's. She texted me asking to come over her house a few minutes ago.

Claire🥀: Can you come over? I need company. Mom isn't home anyway.

Me: Oh sure I could, but what about your brother?

Claire🥀: Don't worry about him. He is minding his business these days.

Me: Will be there in 10.

I was driving down the silent road thinking about giving Claire a little more time of mine. I have problems keeping up with everyone and everything. I try to make things so right and I end up neglecting a lot of people in the process.

The golden lights of the big house came into view. I didn't bother parking my car inside her garage. I just stopped the engine and locked the car a few feet before the grand gate.

Walking inside, I took my dear time to observe the flower garden. Lilacs and lavenders. Claire's all about shades of purple. I'm amused how did she even get to plant these here when it's not even 2 weeks she moved here.

I smiled and crouched down to touch a lavender; shining a matte light shade of Russet. I almost wanted to pluck it but I stopped the urge.

Because it can't live with me. I won't be able to grow or preserve it like how the soul and the nature is doing. I'll probably feel bad about taking it's life from him after it dries anyway.

I didn't realise another sigh left my mouth when I stood up. I jogged to the main door, stepping the concrete stairs, I noticed there were also two big pots each sitting either side of the door. There was a small stem with a single tiny leaf growing out of the soil. The big surface area of the pot made me wonder if the plant is gonna be large when it grows.

I knocked on the door reluctantly. Once. Twice. Thrice.

No answer.

I even texted Claire to open the door but she didn't check it even after 5 minutes of waiting.

Finally I gathered my position and courage to press the bell button.

It wasn't 5 seconds until the door creaked open. Making a low noise. I put up a welcoming smile even though I'm supposed to be welcomed.

I was hoping anyone to open the door but Claire's brother. But to my dismay, as expected, this universe likes to humble me once in a while.

"Um heyy, I'm Cara, remember me?" I waved my hand at the black haired tall dude in front of me which without a doubt was Cayden. Claire's brother, elder brother. It was kinda awkward to talk to him, if I could, I would have avoided meeting anyone to all extents.
