Time flies.
At least for Xiao.
It felt like a second ago when he fell asleep leaning towards Venti, but apparently, the sky outside is already pitch-black.
"Xiaooo~? Wakie wakiee..!" Venti cooed.
Xiao groaned. He felt like shit. You know, that feeling when you sleep for a bit too long.
Venti giggled at Xiao's slow movements and ruffled his hair.
Xiao liked that.
He eventually sat up and looked at his phone.
'10:34..? Holy shit..'
That's when he noticed the silence.
"Everyone went home already." Venti said, like he read his mind.
'Then why is Venti still here?'
"I've decided to stay because I didn't want to wake you up my moving, and I didn't want to leave you alone, clueless. But if you want me to leave, I'm totally fine with that."
He read his mind again.
"I'll get going.. I think you need some time alone. Sorry for bringing so many people. I just wanted to get you some friends and.." His voice trailed off.
Why was he apologizing? All Xiao did was sleep. He wasn't bothered at all and he just liked Venti's company.
He felt safe when he was with him. Like he was getting protected by an angel. A guardian angel from celestia.
"No no. No need to apologize. All I did was sleep anyway. You... Can stay if you want."
"Oh. Well, then I'll stay here! Can I stay overnight? You live alone, right? Lemme just go back home to get some stuff. I'll be back in a second!"
And like that, he ran out of the house and disappeared.
Xiao ran after him, but when he took a glance outside, he couldn't spot the boy anywhere.
"What the..."
Confusion. How does he dissapear like that? He was quite fast but the road was very long, and he didn't see a single human outside on the road.
Xiao stood there for a moment, got his senses back, and went back into his house. He just decided wait for his friend patiently.
His friend..... Right. He now had a friend. A reliable friend.
And he's not back in a second, because a minute passed already.
Just writing on 15% battery. Help, does anyone have a spare charger??
