"Guys, c'mere for a sec."
Venti gathered every single person in the room to the couch.
"Please be friendly to Xiao. He's quite nice if you get to know him, trust me! So at least, try your best to get closer, Ok?"
"But what if he just chases us out of the house?"
".. that won't happen. I promise. Go ahead and make yourselves at home now!"
As soon as the kids heard that, they started to scatter.
Yanfei and Xiangling, knowing this place well enough, ran towards Hutao's room. Supposedly waiting for Hutao to arrive..
Chongyun on the couch, Xingqiu trying to get his attention.
Keqing, who's never been invited yet is familiar due to Ganyu's stories that she told Keqing about their home, decided to explore.
"Huh. They scattered pretty quickly." Venti murmured. He shrugged, then walked over to Xiao.
"Hey! Sorry if this was a bit sudden."
"It's fine. I recognize a bit of them, so they're not strangers."
Venti hummed as a response. But then, they both fell silent.
Venti, wanted to talk more but didn't know what topic he should start on.
Xiao, on the other hand, liked this silence. He could glance at Venti once a while and admire his delicateness.
He looked like he came from Celestia. He felt so pure, so majestic. He started staring at Venti.
It seemed that Venti quickly picked up on that, because he looked into Xiao's eyes, which lead to him quietly apologising and turning away.
"Aww, it's alright! No need to apologise." Venti giggled, looking back straight.
Silence. Venti didn't like it. He decided that it'll be good to hum a song, so that's exactly what he did.
Xiao closed his eyes, admiring the song and taking it all in. He quickly fell asleep.
He dreamt of walking nowhere, along with Venti's beautiful enchanting voice. He loved every moment of it.
Venti saw him fall asleep on his shoulders. He sighed, smiling.
Xiao looked like a gem. A gem that if you hold, it would shine brightly, but if you hold it down, then the light would dimmer.
Venti didn't stop humming. He didn't want to wake Xiao up. Venti thought his humming was helping him sleep.
It felt like it was only the two of them. Alone.
Too bad, that's just not the case.
