The two boys were never separated after that day, due to Xiao swearing an oath. 'Dont worry, I'll protect you. You've helped me, now I'll help you. And this, I swear.' Holy shit, at that moment, Venti felt like his face was heating up, hotter than fire!
Yet Venti still can't identify his own emotions. He's only heard of some mortal's emotions in their prayers, but he's never actually experienced and dove deep in them before. "Aiya, whatcha thinking about?" The bright, bright HuTao said as she waved her hand in front of Venti's face.
Venti shook his head. "Huh?? Eh- oh.. nothing, just spacing out a little. Ehehe, sorry." HuTao looked at him with a confused face, but shrugged it off. "Alrightio. See you tomorrow!" Venti smiled and waved back at the dissapearing girl.
'What was I doing again?... Oh. Right. Still waiting for Xiao..' The named student, was in the bathroom, and he instructed Venti to not leave the classroom and go home by himself. Xiao and Venti's houses were fairly close to each other, so they even walk home together. As mentioned before, Inseparable.
He waited and waited, untill he decided that it was taking way too long. He got up from his seat, and started walking towards the bathroom. "Venti, what are you doing out here?"
Oh, nevermind. He's right there. "What took you so long?" Venti said, running towards him. When Venti arrived, he hurled himself to hug Xiao. Xiao, being the strong one he is, just stood there and hugged him back, sighing.
"What's wrong?" Venti mumbled. He had noticed his sigh. Xiao shook his head. "It's just that it's been quite a while since you've hugged me. Did you miss me that much?"
Venti just hummed in response. And Xiao? He took that as a yes and laughed slightly. 'Music to my ears,' Venti thought. 'So cute.'
Xiao let Venti go. The two, holding hands now, chattered a bit as they went to the classroom to get their backpacks. After that, they finally headed home.
