Xiao was confused. He didn't even see a glimpse of Venti for days. School, no Venti. Streets, no Venti. After school, no Venti. Xiao missed him. His absence was too big of a hole. He didn't know why. He couldn't know why.
Xiao flopped onto his bed and grabbed his head in frustration. Venti wouldn't leave his mind, no matter what he tried. He tried studying, but there wasn't any Ventis to hug him and disturb him. He tried rambling, but he had no Venti to listen to him. He tried reading, but no Venti to feed him snacks while he was.
That's when he noticed that Venti was with him most of the time, no matter what activities he did. Eating wasn't an exception. And, even when he was asleep, it always felt like Venti was there with him. Beside him. Accompanying him.
Now, Xiao couldn't help but be frustrated. He wanted to cry. 'Of course, Venti ran away. I'll never have friends.' The thought repeated itself in his head. It was making his loneliness worse.
"Venti.. please. Come back."
'Xiao.'
'Xiao.'
'Help me.'
