Xiao groaned. He looked up, only to be greeted by Venti peering down at him.
"Good morning! Slept well?"
Morning..? Wait, Xiao had school today!
"What time is it Venti?!" He frantically but tiredly said. "Chill Xiao. It's only 4AM. You only took a nap! Are you still tired?" The named boy said while chuckling.
"4AM.. I usually sleep at 3." Xiao murmured, thinking he said that in his mind.
"3AM?! ARE YOU INSANE? On every school night?? Are you sure you get enough sleep? Wait no, I shouldn't be talking to you right now, go back to sleep.. No wait I-" "Venti. I'm fine, I take naps after I get home from school," Xiao quickly cut Venti's rambling. "Besides, even if I sleep now, I won't even get to rest for 3 hours. We need plenty of time to get ready for school."
"But... Even 3 hours can be a big help!," Venti sighed. "Just don't get in trouble with the teacher for dozing off. JUST DON'T DOZE OFF. Stay awake, stay with me!" Venti whined.
Xiao couldn't say no, but he had to. He didn't want to worry Venti but he doesn't want to be hasty on getting ready for school. He likes to take his time on that.
Xiao just groaned, kissed Venti on the forehead, and realized what he's done.
"Oh gods. Oh shit, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to, I.. Ganyu makes me to that to her saying that it's bonding- and.. and now I do it unconsciously I swear, I'm sorry I'm sorry-" Xiao rambled on and on.
Venti, just sat there. He was processing what has just happened. A smile slowly made it's way on his face, and he started laughing.
Xiao also stopped rambling and this time, he stared at Venti.
"W...why... Why are you.. laughing?"
"I dunno," he said in between tears; "You're just so adorable. And its alright, I don't mind, Ehehe!"
Xiao just stood there, smiled very softly, and watched Venti laugh.
His laughing was melodic. It chimed in his ears like a bell. It felt like his laughs were a song itself, curing every pain on Xiao's mind.
After Venti was finished laughing, he stood up.
"C'mon, let's get ready for school you doofus."
Credits to my friend who sleeps late and gave me that idea.
