"We're gonna pretend to be together"

——————————————-

"What?!" I exclaimed, "Are you crazy?"

"Keep your voice down, will you?" He patronized, "No, I'm not crazy. If we fake being together, it could make them jealous."

I nodded, understanding his plan.

"I'm taking you to the Yule Ball, as well. Because you're a champion, you need to have a date. Plus, I'm your boyfriend now."

"My brother's gonna kill me," I mumbled

"He'll get over it," He grinned, kissed my cheek, then sat on the armchair next to me.

I gave him a look, to which he just replied with a smirk, "You're my girlfriend, remember?"

I chuckled and rolled my eyes, looking back down at my book.

He looked at his watch, "11 pm now, Hens."

"And? It's Saturday."

"It is?"

I laughed, "Yes."

Just then, George and Angelina walked into the common room and sat on the floor by Fred and I.

Fred absentmindedly placed a hand on my thigh while talking to them. I did my best to try and ignore it and continue reading, but it was difficult.

Finally, George said something about it, "What's going on here?" He nodded at Fred's hand.

"What, am I not allowed to touch her?" Fred replied

"I never said that, but why is your hand in that specific place?"

"Because he's my boyfriend," I finally looked up, looking George dead in the eye.

"What? Since when?" He demanded

"Last Monday," Fred shrugged.

"And you didn't tell me?"

"Nope," I said, popping the "p" as I looked back down.

The three older people talked while I read and studied, absorbing as much information as I could.

"Hens? Love?" I heard someone ask

I looked up, "Hm?"

It was Fred, "It's getting late. I think I'm gonna head up."

I nodded, "I'm not too far behind you. I'm getting tired."

He stood up and offered his hand to me, helping me up as well. We walked out of earshot and he whispered "Not too bad."

And with that, he walked upstairs, to his dorm
