My head flew back and forth between Fred, and who I now realized was George.

Oh. My. God.

What did I just do?

"What did you just do?!" Fred roared.

"Fred, mate, it's not what it looks like-" George started.

"Not what it looks like? It looks like you were just snogging!"

"We weren't snogging, Fred, and if you just let me explain-"

"No," Fred shook his head, "I cant believe you would do this. Especially to me and your girlfriend. All for her."

"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked, offended.

"You know exactly what it's supposed to mean, Hensley."

Okay. Well. That hurt.

Fred turned away from George and I, turning a corner a little ways down the hall.

"George! What the hell!" I yelled.

"I'm sorry Hens- I- I was trying to help..."

"You let me think you were your brother!"

"You can normally tell the difference!"

"Not in moments like that!"

"Merlin- I'm so sorry," He rubbed his face in exasperation.

"I'm going to go track him down and tell him what happened."

George nodded.

I searched the castle, taking my shoes off in the process (because who would've thought that heels on cobblestone floors wouldn't be painful?), for Fred.

But I couldn't find him.

The last place I checked was the room of requirement. I thought (and half hoped) he wouldn't be in there.

However, he was.

I walked in. At the sight of me, he turned away. I didn't blame him.

I sat next to him, trying to move my dress out of the way.

"Stupid thing," I mumbled.

And despite everything, he laughed.

It wasn't loud like it normally was, but I paid no mind to that detail. Because I loved his laugh.

"I'm sorry," I said quietly.

"Why did you do it?" He asked, it was just above a whisper.

"I didn't mean to."

"You didn't mean to? That's not an answer," His voice rose, "He has a girlfriend, Hensley!"

"It was an accident!" My volume was matching his.

Fred stood up, "How do you kiss someone on accident? It's kissing. It's not like he fell on you or something, I found you two in the hallway!"

I rose to my feet as well, though my height didn't even compare to his, "I was only kissing him because I thought he was you!" I yelled.

The anger drained out of his face and he looked down at me.

"What?"

"Don't make me repeat it."

"You wanted to kiss me?"

I didn't look at him, though I nodded my head slightly.

"But...Malfoy..."

"That's why this is all so hard for me," I whispered.

"You went to the ball with him..."

"And I saw him dancing with Pansy," I said, "What about your date?"

"I just brought her because I know you don't like her," He admitted, "I wanted to bring you, Hens, you have no idea how bad I wanted to."

I looked down and blushed slightly.

He tilted my head to look up at him.

"You're gorgeous," He whispered.

Butterflies erupted in my stomach. I had been waiting for those words to come out of his mouth since I arrived at the castle. It was everything I wanted.

And it was terrifying.

One of his large, soft hands pushed my hair out of my face.

"Hensley?" He asked quietly.

"Yes?" I replied.

"Can I kiss you?" It was just barely a whisper.

"Please do."

And he did.

And this time, I knew it felt right. Because there were the fireworks. There was that safe feeling. This was perfect. This was so right.

He pulled away and smiled down at me.

"Was that okay?"

I nodded, "A little more than okay, Fred."

He smiled, "I've wanted to do that since I met you."

"Ditto," I replied.

"I do mean it, you look gorgeous right now."

"Too bad it only lasted a few minutes," I laughed.

"I bet the ball's still going. Wanna go piss off some people?"

I laughed and nodded, then he took my hand and lead me back downstairs.

We spent the rest of the night dancing and talking and laughing, just enjoying each others company.

We passed my brother, and all he did was smile.

Draco, on the other hand, did not.

He spotted us from across the room and stalked over.

"Shit," I whispered.

"I've got it," He whispered back.

"I thought we were here together, Hens," Draco said.

"Yeah, I did too, until I saw you were with Pansy," I replied.

"It wasn't what it looked like-"

"Are you sure?" Asked an identical voice to Fred's from behind me, "Because I saw you disappear into a closet with her earlier."

Draco's face paled (if that was even possible).

"Hensley, that's not anything...it's not what it looks like," He tried to plead.

"Save it, okay? I thought I really liked you. But I don't. So please...just leave me alone."

He nodded and turned away, leaving me with Fred and George.

"I'm still mad at you," Fred told him, "You kissed her!"

"You needed a nudge in the right direction!" George claimed.

"That was more than a nudge, that was a shove!"

"A shove?!" I said, "It was a trip! Off a cliff! You threw me off a cliff!"

"The cliff was the right direction," George claimed, "And you have to admit, I'm a good kisser," He wiggled his eyebrows.

"Fred's better," I shrugged.

"You kissed?!" George yelled, then shook his brother by the shoulders, "Why didn't you tell me?!"

"Calm down mate," Fred told him, "It only happened an hour ago!"

"Why are you all acting like it's a big deal? They already did more than kissed!" My brother said, all of a sudden there.

"Long story. I'll explain later," I said.
