We rode up the hill and were greeted with a breathtaking sight:

Hogwarts.

The castle was huge and made of stone, there had to have been at least ten floors, if not more. The mountains behind it were huge, and a forest as far as the eye could see.

The carriage stopped with a jolt, sending me flying across the cart and onto Ron.

"Sorry."

"Don't worry about it." He said with a smile

We got out and the view was even more amazing up close.

I gasped, my eyes wide and mouth hanging open.

"Whoa." I breathed

Harry stood next to me "Amazing, right?"

"I don't think I've ever seen anything more beautiful than this in my entire life."

Suddenly, I heard three sets of footsteps and yelling behind me. They approached us and one of them started speaking.

"Ah, taking in the sights, are we?" Either George or Fred Weasley said from next to me.

"It's amazing!" I exclaimed "Amazing!"

"I think she's going to like it here." Hermione said with a smile from next to me.

I walked with Harry and his friends into the castle, they sat down, but he instructed me to wait with some 11 year olds.

An older, strict-looking lady pulled out a three-legged stool and an old, dusty hat with patches in it.

It began singing a song about the Hogwarts Founders. It was actually really interesting;

"A thousand years or more ago
When I was newly sewn,
There lived four wizards of renown,
Whose names are still well known:

Bold Gryffindor, from wild moor,
Fair Ravenclaw, from glen,
Sweet Hufflepuff, from valley broad,
Shrewd Slytherin, from fen.

They shared a wish, a hope, a dream,
They hatched a daring plan
To educate young sorcerers
Thus Hogwarts School began.

Now each of these four founders
Formed their own house, for each
Did value different virtues
In the ones they had to teach.

By Gryffindor, the bravest were
Prized far beyond the rest;
For Ravenclaw, the cleverest
Would always be the best;
For Hufflepuff, hard workers were
Most worthy of admission;
And power-hungry Slytherin
Loved those of great ambition.

While still alive they did divide
Their favourites from the throng,
Yet how to pick the worthy ones
When they were dead and gone?

Twas Gryffindor who found the way,
He whipped me off his head
The founders put some brains in me
So I could choose instead!

Now slip me snug about your ears,
I've never yet been wrong,
I'll have a look inside your mind
And tell where you belong!"

The strict lady, who I learned was Professor McGonagall, called each of the first years up to be sorted. Every name except mine was called.
