"Anna, his name is Suneil Ahuja but he goes by Sunny.Born and brought up in Delhi, has a degree in business but no work experience in that field.Currently works as a tattoo artist in a studio owned by a friend in west Delhi but aspires to have his own studio.About family-His father is a small-scale businessman and mother doesn't work. His parents divorced when he was sixteen and both of them are now married to other people and have their own families.Sunny isn't in touch with either of them or their families, although his mother has tried to contact him on several occasions, and according to my conclusion he is still very bitter about them getting divorced leaving him in the middle all alone."Dev,Raghav's PI on retainer, spoke as he read through the many points he had noted about Sunny on his Ipad.
"What about Keerthy and him?How did they meet?"Raghav asked as he sipped on his bitter coffee. A loud sigh left him as the coffee awakened his senses which were numbed from not getting any sleep the entire last night.
"Yes Anna, coming to that,Keerthy and Sunny met when Keerthy went to Delhi, three years back,as a college trip. They started out as friends and remained close with very frequent interactions owing to social media despite being in different cities. Two years back,in March,Suneil aka Sunny came down to Hyderabad and they both met up,where Sunny proposed to her to be her girlfriend and Keerthy had ofcourse said yes to him.Their close friends are well aware of their relationship.Since then, the two have been together but because of the distance they are not able meet each other that frequently. However, the few times that they have met were when Sunny came to Hyderabad.Keerthy has only travelled once to Delhi to meet him."
Raghav's hold around the mug tightened.
All this time.
All this time his sister was going around with this boy and he did not have even a single clue.Hell,he had never even imagined that his sister would date somebody or fall in love.Sure no brother thinks about his sister's love life but Raghav had been so sure that Keerthy would't be the one to fall in the love trap.Keerthy was always the introverted kind, since they were kids, and the series of events that had happened in their lives pulling them apart had further pushed her into a shell. Now as of today, she was an extremely cautious, guarded person and not at all somebody who did things on a whim.In many ways Keerthy was quite the opposite of Raghav yet, emotionally, the siblings worked quite similarly. And hence for her to fall for a random guy from Delhi and be in a committed relationship with him for two whole years was a lot for Raghav to take in.
Why?What is wrong if Keerthy is in love?Didn't you too fall in 'love' once? His brain mocked him instantly causing his thoughts to turn more bitter than the coffee he had just gulped down.
Putting the empty mug away Raghav looked up at the man before who was looking at him expectantly.
"Okay, email me all of that and whatever else you have. And your check is with Farhaad so contact him."Raghav dismissed him with a acknowledging nod.
"Good Day Anna." Dev placed his Ipad in his bag and bowed a little before walking out of the den.
Hah!Good day!
A bitter scoff left Raghav's mouth once he was alone in the room.Rubbing his hands together he put them on his eyes once warm and sighed in relaxation at the sensation.Lowering his hands,he opened his eyes and looked at the many sheets of paper scattered around the desk.Every piece of paper covered in impeccable jewellery designs, all of which Raghav had stayed up sketching through the night.
Last night, when Raghav had plopped on his bed tired and ready to sleep all his plans of a peaceful slumber went down the drain when his nose caught onto the scent lingering on the pillow case.It was strawberry.A very cheery scent of strawberry which belonged nobody other than her.Pallavi Deshmukh. Already enraged with the happenings of the evening and that godforsaken saree ka dukaan's words,Raghav had lost it badly. In an instant he was out of his bed and into the shower where he tried desperately to wash away her thoughts--the image of her unconcious on his bed,the image of her forlorn eyes at her home, the image of her glaring at him, quite unsuccesfully.
