Charlie awoke the next morning, curled around Nick's warm frame, he looked up to face him and smiled before curling back around Nick's arms which were around his waist "Good morning," "Good morning." Charlie felt Nick's warm, strong arms wrap around him more "Did you have a good sleep?" "Yeah, you?" "I had an amazing sleep, thank you. After watching After We Collided last night, we both dozed off after." "I know, that film was so steamy but so good." "I know it was." Their hands found each other's and their fingers effortlessly intertwined. They were silent for awhile, allowing their breathing to fall into the same rhythm.
Charlie reached over, grabbing his phone unlocking it, smiling at his home screen which was when they went on their official date together as boyfriends "Your smiley, what's up?" "Nothing, just this brings back memories." He took a photo out of his phone case, handing it to Nick who took it, looking at it "I loved that day, that was the day I finally told you that I loved you." "I know, and I knew that I loved you too." The two looked at each other and blushed before looking away from each other with smiles spread across their faces.
Nick reached over, tucking a strand of Charlie's dark hair behind his ear as the brunette got butterflies sending all over his body and the smile came back on his face "I was wondering that this morning if we could take a test as I felt sick this morning." "Of course, Nick, do we have any?" "One more in the bathroom cupboard." "Okay." The two got up, walking in the bathroom. Nick took the test, sitting on the closed toilet seat. Charlie knelt in front of him "Now we wait." "Okay." The two waited for a few minutes until it showed an hourglass. Charlie looked at it before looking up at Nick, handing it back to him, who looked up at him before dropping it to the floor, walking out of the bathroom "Nick?" "Just give me a minute." He walked downstairs, sitting on the sofa, threading his fingers through his hair. Charlie came downstairs "Would we break up if I told you that I can't have children?" "No, we're not breaking up, when did you find this out?" "During that appointment for an after surgery check up." "You didn't tell me?" He shook his head "I'm sorry." Charlie pulled him into his arms, stroking his hair slowly.
The blonde relaxed, lying his head on his chest, taking a deep breath after relaxing "What should we do for now?" "I don't know, I'd rather sit here and cry." Charlie tilted his chin up, cupping his face, stroking his face back and forth slowly and kissed him slowly. They pulled away and the brunette lied down "Come here, princess." Charlie teased "Don't call me princess." Nick said, blushing "Okay." Charlie paused before looking him dead in the eyes "Princess." He teased and Nick's ears turned bright red and he laid on the sofa, face first "Don't!" The blonde whined "I'm teasing, baby. I'm going to keep babying you for a while until there's a real smile on your face." Charlie told him and Nick nodded, he was already half asleep suddenly being in Charlie's embrace. Nick pressed his face against his chest more and smiled a bit "Sleep, cutie." He whispered, pulling a blanket over him.
A few hours later, Nick awoke turning up to Charlie who was in the kitchen, preparing lunch. He got up, wrapping his blanket around himself, walking in the kitchen, wrapping his arms around Charlie's waist who turned after putting down a wooden spoon "Hey you, good sleep?" He nodded "Good sweetheart, are you up for some food?" "What is it?" "My mum sent me her soup recipe." "Is it ready?" "Almost, do you want to try some from the spoon?" "Yes please." Charlie got a spoon out of the cupboard, opening the lid, putting a little on it "Open for me, cutie." He opened his mouth as Charlie blew on it before putting it in Nick's mouth. The blonde swallowed "How is it?" "It's really good." Charlie checked over it "It's ready, bubba." Charlie poured it into two bowls, bringing over two spoons.
Once the two ate, Nick moved back over to the sofa, lying down, curling up into a tiny ball. Charlie came in and rubbed his back slowly "What's wrong?" "Nothing, just leave it." "I don't mind that your still upset, you can just tell me that you are." He nodded "So I was thinking that if we do get married we could hyphen our names." "What? Nelson-Spring?" "Yeah. It suits us." "It really does, where's that engagement ring?" "Upstairs, I think." Nick got up, walking upstairs, looking in his jacket pocket, finding it, walking downstairs, kneeling down on one knee in front of Charlie, "Charles. Char. Charlie Spring, the absolute love of my life. Will you marry me?" Charlie's heart is so full, he thinks it'll burst.
