It was in the middle of the night when Nick awoke, grabbing his phone, checking his phone 3:43am, he got up, making his way downstairs to the kitchen, turning on the light, looking at the night sky from the closed blinds, leaning over the sink. Charlie came down, rubbing his eyes "It's the second time this week, what's wrong?" "Nothing, I'm going on a quiet drive." He walked out, grabbing his jacket and trainers "What time will you be back?" "Before the sun rises, go back to bed, Char, it's okay." He nodded, making his way back upstairs. Nick left the house, unlocking the car, getting in, driving out of the driveway.
An hour and a half later, the sun was starting to rise, Nick was driving back home and pulled up in the driveway, closing the car after getting out, walking upstairs, removing his jumper, climbing back into bed with Charlie who wrapped his arms around him, holding him in his arms tightly "Your back." "Yeah, go back to sleep, I'm here now." He nodded into his back, relaxing, going back to sleep.
It was hours later when Charlie awoke, wrapping his arms around Nick, pulling him back a little bit until the blonde shuffled forward again to curl up on his side of the bed. Charlie tucked him in, pressing a kiss to his temple "Good morning." "Morning." "Good sleep?" "Yeah." Nick relaxed against Charlie's chest after shuffling back to snuggle into his chest. A giggle slipped out. Charlie pulled back and propped himself up with one arm so he could look at Nick's face. "You laughing?" "Only a little," Nick said. "I told you it tickles." Charlie grinned at him. "You're the sweetest thing ever." "Because I'm ticklish?" "I wouldn't say it's the main reason you're sweet, but it certainly doesn't hurt," The brunette smiled "Why were you laughing?" "Your hands were on my lower stomach and I'm really ticklish there," "Now I know." "Shush!" He squealed, hiding his face in Charlie's arms.
Nick sat up with a smile drawn on his face, still leaning against Charlie's chest, "Baby, you're so pretty." Nick said suddenly, he wanted to say more but left it at that. The crimson blush that swept over Charlie was breath taking, it started on his cheeks but crept up his ears. Beautiful. "Shut up!" "No. I mean it, you're gorgeous. You literally are," Nick says as matter of fact. "You can't argue with me in our house- I'm always right here." Charlie rolled his eyes. "You wish you were." "I just- I love you a lot. You're my soulmate, and I love being with you and... close to you. I'm just so clingy and you're so pretty. And you're my first actual relationship, so I don't know what to do or when's the right time to do things-" Nick is cut off suddenly by Charlie, who kisses him feverishly. Nick's eyes go wide, but then immediately close as he lifts his hand up to immediately find purchase in Charlie's hair- and Charlie hums. Nick's chest feels so heavy, in a good way. Heat floods his chest, and he relaxes into the familiar feeling. The kiss was like the dam of their relationship finally breaking. The kiss deepens, their tongues are melting together, and they are chest to chest, Charlie's hands are on Nick's arms and Nick's arms in Charlie's hair.
They both pulled away, looking at each other in the eye "Hi," "Hi." The two laughed at the memory before they were both crying from laughing at old memories. Nick got up, walking into the bathroom. Once he relieved himself, he walked back to bed, lying his head back on Charlie's chest.
An hour later, the two cuddled on the sofa after having a bath and getting in cleaner clothes. Nick was lying on top of Charlie, cuddling into his chest, relaxing with his head on his chest "Do you want any breakfast?" "Sure," Charlie got up, walking into the kitchen. Once Charlie made breakfast, he brought the two plates in and saw Nick curled up on the sofa, asleep, one hand resting on his chest. He put both plates on the table, walking over to him, laying next to him. Charlie chuckled softly and leaned down to kiss the top of the blonde's head, laying in silence now as he watched his sleeping boyfriend. He smiled, glancing down at the sleeve covered hands that were currently gripping his own shirt as if to pull him closer. He reached up with one hand to slowly brush Nick's soft blonde hair hair out of his face, leaning down to kiss the top of his head again. "I love you, Char," Nick said a moment later, opening his eyes to peek up at Charlie and the brunette could see that he had bags under his eyes. "I love you too, Nick. Get some sleep. I'll be here when you wake up." He responded, smiling at him and watching as his fiancé closed his eyes again.
