It was in the middle of the night when Nick awoke, shaking Charlie who instantly woke "Hey." He cupped his face, stroking slowly "What's wrong?" He shrugged "Nick, why did you wake me?" He asked, turning on his light. Nick nuzzled his head into his chest as tears fell down the blonde's cheeks "Shh." He cooed, carding his fingers through Nick's messy dark blonde hair, before he dropped off to sleep. A hint of a smile remained on his face, even after he closed his eyes and completely relaxed again. Charlie thought Nick had already assumed that Nick had fallen asleep again, he just looked that peaceful. But before Charlie completely travelled to dreamland, he held him close to his chest, stroking his mess of blonde hair.
The hours went by, it was soon morning, Charlie's mum came in to wake both boys as Nick rolled over. Jane stroked Charlie's hair as his eyes slowly started to open "Morning." He yawned, holding Nick close to him. Nick's eyes opened "Morning." "Good morning." He tilts his head up and kissed Charlie. They broke away after a while, looking at each other, trying to catch their breaths "Are you sure you both want to stay off school today?" "Yeah mum, it'll be easier as Nick's still feeling ill, aren't you?" He nodded, cuddling into his boyfriend's chest. Charlie lovingly pulled the duvet around the half asleep boy.
Charlie woke up an hour later, glancing over to his phone which showed him that it was only 8 o'clock in the morning. He closed his eyes and waited for Nick to come back to bed, but instead he heard retching coming from the bathroom "I'm coming." He mumbled, slipping out of bed, walking into the bathroom "It's okay baby, I'm here." He whispered, caressing his back and the back of Nick's neck, thumbs easing gently into the tight muscles, loosening them, getting rid of the knots "Are you done?" He nodded "Sure?" He nodded. The brunette felt tight arms being wrapped around him, a coo escaped his lips as Nick's head tucked itself into the crook of his neck "Bad day?" He shook his head "Tired day?" He nodded "I can see in your eyes at how tired you are." Nick isn't going to cry, he's not going to, but it's so hard. Oh, God, he loves Charlie so much, but he just doesn't want to burst into tears in front of him, so he holds back his tears.
He looks over at that moment and meets Nick's eyes. "You okay?" He nodded "I want to head home to mine for a bit to have a warm bath and then I'll come back." "How long will you be?" "45 minutes to an hour." "Okay. Do you want me to drop you off?" "I'm okay." "No, let me get dressed and I'll walk you home." "Alright," The two walked back to bed as Charlie got dressed while Nick was downstairs, putting on his shoes. Charlie ran a hand through his curls, walking downstairs "Char?" "Yeah?" "Come here." He walked over to him. Nick knelt down and zipped up his flies "You didn't zip them up." "Thank you."
As Charlie's eyes trailed over Nick's face and felt little butterflies in his stomach "You're staring." Their eyes lock once more, so do their hands this time, their fingers intertwined and their lips meeting. A soft kiss to each other's lips. Nick connected their lips once more, but this time it wasn't only lips, his tongue passed over the brunette's bottom lip, seeking entrance to wonder, and he obeyed. The blonde pushed a loose curl behind his hair as they kept deepening the kiss more and more "Is this okay?" He asked, pulling back for a second "Is that even a question? It's more than okay, kiss me again until I get sick of your lips and tongue." He replied, not meaning to sound too needy but Nick knew he loved it "When we get to mine, we'll continue as mum's at work." "Okay." The two left hand in hand, walking over to Nick's.
10 minutes later, the blonde unlocked the front door, and pulling him in for a proper kiss after he closed the door. Nick's hands found the underneath of the brunette's thighs, picking him up, carrying him upstairs to his bedroom, lying him down on his bed, hovering over him, Nick reached his hands to Charlie's own, slowly, gently. Sparks crackled in his fingers as he reached to place his palm in Charlie's. They continued kissing as Nick pulled away "Did I hurt you?" "Not at all." "I'm just a bit worried, that's all. Are you sure when your 16 you want to go all the way?" "I don't know." "Answer me honestly, are you scared about me looking at you?" He asked "I - I'm sorry." "You don't get to say the S word. And I don't expect you to force yourself to feel comfortable around me. Your therapy and recovery will take time. And I will be by your side for it always. No matter how long it takes." "I don't deserve you." Charlie's eyes welled. "We deserve each other." Nick smirked, his eyebrows raising with a wiggle, grinning.
