You May Be Alpha, But So Am I

Chapter 24

Alpha Lady Luna

Ashton groaned painfully while on his back. He still held a hand over his right eye. With another groan, he struggled to his feet.

"That was--a nice one." Ashton staggered a little. "But that's not going to save you now."

I crouched low. Flexing my clawed hands, I could taste the tension in the air. I could feel that the other wolf was up to something more. There's no way he would allow me to get away with hitting like I've did.

Ashton managed to get himself together. When he took his hand away from his eyes, I noticed that it was black and swelling. Crossing one foot over the over, Ashton moved to the right. He does this until he's on my left, my weakest side.

Should I allow him to come to me or not? Not.

Running toward him, I threw several different combinations of punches and kicks. Some hit their mark, while others failed. He didn't seem to be effected by them for he kept a smirk on his face, which made me even more annoyed.

He wasn't just dodging my attacks. He was actually throwing a few of his own. I guess he was trying to tried me out or make me think I couldn't handle him, but I was more than ready to finish this.

This went on for several minutes before Ashton had his hands around his neck and throwing me to the ground. He was choking me while I struggle to breathe.

"Where's my son?"

"Don't worry about him. Worry about yourself. Since you wouldn't submit to me, I supposed you'll have to die." He began squeezing my hand. "I won't let anyone have you. I promise."

Out the corner of my eye, I saw Casper. He was coming from behind a group of rocks.  Seeing me, his eyes grew bigger, the size of balloons.

I saw him running, but I begged him to turn around. McCain squeezed my throat more.

Little did he know. Casper ran toward him.

I watch my son bit into Ashton's arm. I saw him clawing at the bare skin. Ashton released him and started to attack him.

When he was shoved against a rock, I feel my body rising. Moving with the strength of a refreshed fighter.

"Ghost," I called him. Holding out my arms, Casper came running to me. I pulled him close, hugging him.

He's ok.

Maximum came running pass us, and he  pinned the alpha to the ground. "It's over Ashton."

"Siding with her. I'll kill you!" he growled out.

Lady watched in silence as Maximum pulled a dagger from his back pocket and stabbed Ashton in his chest, right where his heart was.

"You've been a cruel leader, but I promise you that I will take care of our family." Maximum pushed down on the dagger.

"You traitor."

Maximum pulled the dagger out, allowing his former alpha to fall to the ground.

It was over. Everything was finally over.
