Minju's POV:
It has been another year that passed, a few more hours and I will find Chaen crying again. Most likely drunk out of her mind. Three years had passed and she still hasn't improved herself. Wonnie and I grew so much, we always slept together on nights Chaen was in Japan visiting her nameless friend. I was doing okay, I've fully accepted that Haneul Appa and Seri Eomma were gone and will never comeback. I no longer cry, I stopped crying since Mong Oppa's birthday. I was tired, I suppose, Mong and I always talked about how we are feeling and how we are coping. I found that writing my thoughts in a diary worked best in helping me cope. I still haven't read Seri Eomma's letter. Because although I was okay, it would take me some more time before I become ready to read the said letter.
We skipped classes for a week like always and this year is no exception. We were excused of course, it was perks of being part of the debuting team. We can basically leave whenever we want and take a week long break or a month of break, we actually just practice and go through the weekly evaluations just to prove our worth, just so we don't make anyone question why we belonged in the team. Why we are the debuting members of WM Entertainment. Why we are hand-picked members of the WM Debuting Team. It was a mere show of our talents to shut Gaeun Unnie and the other trainees from questioning WM Trainers. Which is why, Chaen always creates choreographies that are increasingly harder and harder for us to perform, we always had the explosive weekly evaluations. We prepare and practice in the dorm for a week and on nights, Chaen will drink and cry her heart out.
I still cradled her in my arms and coo at her until she falls asleep in my arms. It was the only way she could sleep, because I tried to ignore her cries the first night the following year, but she didn't let me sleep with her incessant sobs. The following day, I went ahead and got into her bed and cradled her in my arms. We've been to Gangnam this past Sunday like usual, we also went to a temple to light incense for the two and pray for their soul's eternal repose. We are currently having dinner, Mong Oppa and I were out and having dinner at my Mom's Gopchang and Barbecue place. Mom and Dad was here with us and Mong was engaging them in a chatter, both parents seemed to really like her, honestly who wouldn't? She's smart and beautifully handsome, she is gentle and could engage anyone in a friendly chatter.
She is a Kang on top of everything that she is as a person. She can get anyone to love her, heck there are fans, co-trainees and even schoolmates of hers who like her so much and all she has to do is choose among those people if ever she's tired of Eunbi Unnie. They are having a serious talk about a project my mother wanted to do, Mother was wondering if she could do something for underprivileged kids, Mong suggested that they hold an essay writing contest and from there pick an underprivileged kid to become a scholar. Mong gave Eomma the possible requirements needed for this contest she even went as far as to offer her help in reading the essays the underprivileged students would be submitting.
Mom replied that she wanted to not only support the kids, she wanted to give them food too. My mother the Archangel of Kindness, Dad met my eyes and he cutely shrugged his shoulder towards me. Mong Oppa suggested to give the scholar an ID which they can use to present to any of her restaurants in exchange they get meals. Mom absolutely loved the idea and was dead set to help everyone in her community, the community was grateful to my mom for helping them and some of these scholars eventually gave back to Eomma by serving in her numerous restaurants and some even became a chef and opened their own restaurant which honored the ID cards Mom have given out to her scholars, this plan will be a success in ten years time, the very first scholar will succeed. Dad was just a quiet man who supported his wife's every whim. He was a funny guy who made silly faces for me. Mommy was like the Archangel, she was beautiful, ethereal and was always looking for ways on how to change lives for the better. I decided to cut in to the conversation.
