Chapter 17

Naruto's POV

"Solve this equation." Kakashi passes the notebook to me telling me to solve something that I hardly understand. I tell him,"How can you just tell me to solve it when you just taught me for like one time. I'm not some superhuman."

Kakashi says being a bit arrogant,"How will you manage to defeat Sasuke then?" I tell him,"You are the one who offered me to do that. I don't really wish to do that" Kakashi says,"And you agreed, didn't you?"

I sigh taking the pen giving my attention to the new math problem. Why do we even need math in our life? And here Kakashi wouldn't offer to be my tutor if it wasn't to make me the number one leaving that monster behind. I barely have any confidence in me.

I somehow managed to solve the math problem. Kakashi wasn't satisfied with that saying I'm so slow. I couldn't argue anymore. Kakashi says after giving me his 'precious time',"You are a good one but you have to be a bit faster. I'll get going."

Kakashi comes before the school starts and so I have to wake up really early. I was already in my uniform and taking a bite from the cold toast, I hurry to the classroom leaving the building.

After getting out of the class, we are intending to head to the cafeteria. Hinata says lazily as she was stretching her arms complaining about her arms being stiff,"I heard they sell nice burgers in there, would you like to it?"

Observing my expression as I was staring at her thinking various stuffs, she says,"It'll be my treat." I don't need to refuse now, isn't it? The cafeteria food which you'll have to buy is expensive and the food they give you for free isn't much likable to the rich kids. To me ,the food is heavenly even though my mom cooks better. I nodded as she was sure that I was going go along with her.

We take the empty table as we don't have any other circle we could join into. We both are kind of loner. Hinata wouldn't be one if she wasn't sticking to me like glue. I don't really hate her company as well because nobody would give any effort to befriend with someone like me. I don't have any special background, no extraordinary looks. I'm vary much ordinary.

Hinata went to buy burgers for me telling me to wait for her. I took out my phone doing nothing but going through my gallery which is full of photos of animals, flowers, some pages of different books and my parents. I have some photos of mine too in them.

Then I flinch as I was hit by something. It was a paper ball which flew toward my face and fell right after hitting my right eye. I felt my eyes burning as I immediately close my eyes pushing my hand to cover them. I feel a bit of tears coming out.

I was about to curse until I see a few guys laughing looking at me as I was some sort of clown. After my vision becomes clear, I see it was Kiba who was laughing and his friends joined him soon. I lower my head thinking I can't go against them, not when there is people from the council.

But I was curious to know if there was Sasuke so I looked up once again. And it made me disappointed to see him right there not bothering with them bullying me. Then I see Kiba wavering his hands trying to catch my eyes. I gulp the lump in my throat and look down immediately wanting to avoid them and act like I didn't see anything.

But soon I hear him yelling as if he's angry,"Hey yellow boy! Didn't I tell you to come here?" I was looking around to find Hinata who went for awhile but she's nowhere near my sight. This is the worst.

I get up from my position straightening my uniform and then look up to them. Kiba has a smile on his face that I can clearly see from here. I know he has something on his mind and that definitely should be something bad.

I take slower steps as if that could save me from the humiliation waiting for me. I bumped into someone and that guy half yells,"Watch out!" I mumbled an apology already showing my clumsy side. I'm just another source of their amusement.

"Blondie, look up." Kiba's rough voice was causing pain to my ears. I looked up. The cafeteria is already half silent. People are looking this way, I can already feel their eyes on me. And there's on person whose stare was bothering me the most. Sasuke, who was sitting there with a smirk on his face.

Kiba says,"Are you fucking with the hyuga?" I felt chills when I hear Neji's voice,"Talk cautiously dogboy." Kiba didn't bother to look at him or stop. He kept rambling,"She's hot not gonna lie. With that huge thing of her and..."

With that the tray flew up. Neji landed a punch toward his face making a mess of their lunch. Nobody budged as if this is a regular thing. Kiba who was on the floor being hit by Neji's strong punch, went up.

I backed away fearing one punch would land on me too. Kiba who's now smirking made me surprised. I thought he would charge immediately but he was rather calm as if he was expecting it and satisfied to see his expectation coming true.

Neji says,"Don't ever talk about Hinata like that." Kiba wipes the little amount of blood around his lips and says,"It feels nice to see Neji's expression changing." Then he turns to me. He says,"So about..." Neji sent another death glare.

Sai spoke giving me an idea of his presence among us,"Why is this guy silent? Got no balls?" Kiba smacked the table being enlightened as if it was the funniest thing ever. He says,"About that, he is a coward bastard. Remember how he took that one punch, was about to get knocked out."

What was he expecting from me that day? I'm not an animal, I can't act aggressively as if I don't have any human decency. I got chills when I found his hands on my shoulders. Is he about to crush my arms? Kiba says laughing,"Why is your face getting pale?"

Then his hand went up to my hair and just like I feared I felt him tugging on my hair. He ended up grabbing it so hard. I grab his wrist trying to make him let go of me but all of my act is just a mere source of amusement for them.

I shout,"Let go of me!"Then his grip loosens. My eyes grew wider. That calmness of him which lasted short made me scared. He says in his deep voice,"Who are you yelling in front of?" Did I make him pissed? But what I did wasn't wrong because he is violent.

I speak,"Then do you expect me to endure everything?" I see his smirk growing. His eyebrows are lifted and he says,"So, you have some balls after all." I won't lie, I'm scared.

I move my gaze landing it on Sasuke who is still calm and silent. Why do I expect from him to stand up for me? Isn't he one of them? I shout for the remaining people in the cafeteria,"You guys are fucking coward! How could you sit there and watch!"

Nobody made any sound. Some of them left as if they didn't hear anything. Kiba says,"What did I do wrong? I just wanted to check if those yellow hair of yours real or not." Saying that he grabs me by my hair yanking it so hard making me yelp.

Kiba says smiling like a psychopath,"So this is real after all." Then he says,"And about you shouting in front of my face." I closed my eyes as I was expecting a punch. But a cold voice interrupted it all. "You are violating the rules again Kiba."

I open one of my eyes to see what's happening. Sasuke's voice managed to stop Kiba. Kiba says,"But you were silent all these times." Sasuke says,"It was until you were about to cause trouble for us."

Then he says,"Let him go." Kiba obeyed his order as if he's his loyal dog. Sai says in his voice full with annoyance,"You are such a prude." Sai left immediately.

Sasuke says looking at us,"Hand him to me. I'll take him to infirmary." Kiba says,"But he looks fine." Sasuke gives him one cold look that made him shut up. My head hurts after all the abuse. Sasuke says,"Follow me." I wanted to argue, to insult him and walk away but I was afraid. Kiba is still there. He can hit me any time.

The whole time Hinata wasn't present. I feel so angry at her that I took a mental note that I'll avoid talking to her for some time. Sasuke led me to the infirmary. Going inside it, we both find it empty.

Sasuke says,"Looks like we are alone in here." I tell him,"I will just go back and treat myself." Sasuke says,"Don't be stubborn." I feel eyes on me. I look back at him. Somehow I'm not afraid when I'm alone with him. As if he won't hurt me ever.

I give him one disgusted look and tell him,"You are the most disgusting person I've ever seen." Sasuke was cold but he was looking at me without blinking. I tell him,"Do you know, what would happen if you weren't a Uchiha? They would do this to you as well. Look around you, you don't really have any friends."

Saying that I turn my back. I left him there and he made no sounds or move. I feel satisfied, satisfied that Sasuke didn't say anything back to me as I said everything to him that was in my mind.
