Chapter 22

"The last day of transfering the fee for the tour that is going to be held in the next week is tomorrow." Kakashi said as his time to go has come. Naruto ran to him right after he left the classroom and calls out for him. Naruto speak,"Sensei!"

Kakashi stopped turning his back. Kakashi asks,"Is it about tutoring you? I'll start after the tour." Naruto responds,"No, it's not about it. Can you please check if my name is over there?" Kakashi glances at the notebook and asks,"The list?" Naruto nods.

Kakashi takes it out opening the front page. Checking the list, my name was almost at the top. Kakashi says,"It's here." Naruto sighs. Kakashi asks,"What's the matter?" Naruto replies,"Nothing, sensei." Kakashi says,"The result will be out after the tour. I hope you don't disappoint me." That statement was heavy enough to put pressure on me.

Next week

The school has decided to let us go out in order to buy our necessary things for the tour. The time is limited and in that fixed time, we are told to finish shopping. I had nothing to buy for myself not having extra money to spear. But because of Hinata, I had to tag along. She was bugging me from yesterday and now I'm in the middle of the biggest shopping mall in the city that is happend to be near to our school.

The mall is packed with students of our school as most of them chose to come here. Hinata took me to another shop looking for something I had no idea about. "Which color looks good?" Hinata puts two lipsticks that is supposed to be of different shades but to me, both of them look same. I tell her,"I have no idea." Hinata rolls her eyes.

After her shopping from this area was done, she started bugging me for going to the shoe area. Hinata says,"We may need them for hiking and stuffs." I sighed and had no way but to follow her. Hinata is looking around while I'm following her. She asks,"What do you think about this one?" I tell her,"Looks good." Hinata says,"I'll take them." I speak,"You are taking everything we are liking." She shrugs her shoulders.

Almost at the end of the shopping, she asks me,"Naruto kun, do you not like anything from here?" I lie,"No, I have my favourite ones in my room." Hinata nods. She says,"Let's go to the shop next to this." She steps out of the shop and I follow her as well.

When we both entered while chattering, we noticed more presence. We were so busy talking that we didn't notice that some of the council members are here. Hinata's eyes got hooked with his brother and she averts her gaze fast. She whispers into my ear,"This feels uncomfortable but please keep following me." I purse my lips, this is indeed uncomfortable.

Hinata was busy this time choosing one her own not asking for my help like before. We could hear their chattering. My eyes got stuck on a pair of shoes. Mine is worn out to be honest. If anyone sees that one, they would be laughing at me. Looking at the price tag, I sigh. Of course shoes from this mall would be expensive. I don't really belong here.

"You like this one?" Someone asks. I turned around to see the one I didn't expect too see. When did Sasuke Uchiha come here? When we came, he wasn't here. Now he has appeared out of thin air. Nothing is going according to my plan. I lie,"No, just checking it for Hinata." Sasuke says,"But this is for boys." I acted like I'm surprised and say,"Is that so? How come I didn't notice?"

Sasuke chuckles. He asks for someone from the shop and tells him,"I would like to buy this one for myself." The man bows his head and says,"Please let me know your size." Sasuke says to the man pointing to the corner,"Let's go over there." I see their backs. The shoes I liked was the ones he bought. I could see that evil smile of his. This is childish i know but somehow it bothers me that the things I am unable to buy, he can buy those without any thought. How does it feel to be filthy rich?

Hinata felt bad that I didn't really buy anything for myself so she bought a shirt for me which is in a light colour. She says,"You are going to look like a prince in this." I tell her,"You are exaggerating but I appreciate your kindness." Hinata smacks my arm playfully as she says,"Kindness? What the hell, do you say things like this to your friends?" I tell chuckling,"Okay sorry sorry."

Hinata had a lot of bags to carry. As a gentleman I carried most of it until we get into the car. Hinata says smiling,"It was fun, wasn't it?" I mutter,"Boring." Hinata turns and furrows her eyebrows. Hinata asks,"Then how about the little conversation you had with the president?" I ask in return,"Sasuke Uchiha?" Hinata nods.

I tell her,"You saw that and didn't come for me?" Hinata looks guilty. This has happened before. This time no disaster happend but anything can happen in his presence. Hinata says,"Look Naruto, you see my brother was there." I sigh and cut her off. I tell her,"Let's just not talk about this."

I was dropped off right before our building. With the bag in my hand, I was walking inside whistling softly. But I didn't expect a guest to visit me. Not quite a visit but that person was waiting for me inside my very own room and the key card was in my hand, I didn't open the door for him as well.

I speak,"What are you doing here?" Itachi Uchiha who was facing me has a smug smile on his face that I found annoying. His eyes moved to the shopping bag in my hand and he says,"Looks like you got something for yourself. I guess you are up for the tour." I speak defending myself,"It wasn't me!" Itachi states proudly,"It was my brother. I know him very well."

I click my tongue in annoyance. I don't like this game, I don't want to be a part of it. I tell him,"This is partly because of you." Itachi asks playfully,"What did I do?" I tell him,"Look, I'm not into this. I really am not. Please play this game somewhere else." Itachi shrugs. He says,"To tell you the truth, I'm not doing anything. Just playing my part in his life, my part as an ideal brother. But he doesn't realize the importance of it."

I tell him without thinking of anything,"If he doesn't want you to act like that, then just stop doing it. He is not a kid." The expression of his face scared him. A second ago he was acting like an airhead but this face, I know it very well. He says,"Don't talk like you know everything. Don't push your nose into things that are not your business. These advices can really save your life."

I grit my teeth. I didn't push my nose into their businesses. They were the ones to barge in my life. I speak,"I can't believe this. Please get out Mr. Uchiha." That playful expression appears again. Does he have multiple personality disorder or something? He says,"Why are you so rude. Look at the things I bought for you." Then I notice the bags on the floor. I ask him,"What are those?" Itachi smirks. He says,"Things you can use on that tour."

My eyes widen. I ask him lowering my voice,"Why are you doing this?" Itachi gets up from his position and with that I take a step back. He is not as scary as before but still is managing to intimidate me. He comes really closer even though to explain things, we don't need to be this close. He speaks,"I think you can have a part in this too. Of course if you want that and that's not for free."

I speak lowering my voice,"Not this again." Itachi says,"My brother is somewhat interested in you." I mutter,"That's not possible." He says,"Maybe not in a good way but still he has his eyes on you somehow. After my visit, he will be keeping an eye on you even more." That started to scare me. I ask him,"What is your motive?" Itachi responds,"To stir up something."

I push him away,"I'm not here for these things. My parents aren't rich like yours. I don't have much time to spare as well. I have to study hard..." He speaks,"I am rich, so rich that you can not imagine. Naruto, that's the point." I mumble,"What?" Itachi brings his face too close that I could feel his soft breath and faint and rich cologne. He whispers,"Use me as much as you want. Let me use you too in return."
