As Cheryl and Veronica sat beside eachother in the bathroom corner, Cheryl finally pulled apart. Veronica let go of her embrace and looked at her, waiting patiently for her to do or say something next.

"I don't remember all the details but I remember Reggie handed me a drink." Cheryl started.

"It was at the last party you had, V. It happened there." The redhead added, as a silent tear fell down her cheek.

The latina looked straight into her eyes, taking in everything that she was telling her. She reached over to cup her face, wiping her tear away once again.

"I remember laying back in the back of a car, Reggie was in front of me." She looked down as tears dropped down from her face.

"He had my dress pulled up." Cheryl paused for moment.

"I just remember I didn't feel too good. I can only remember some parts. I don't remember what happened after that. I heard another voice talking to Reggie but I couldn't make out who. And then I woke up in my own bed the next day, JayJay stayed with me all night. When I woke up, he asked me if I remembered anything and I told him no. At the time I didn't know why he had asked me and I didn't really question it, but now piece by piece it's coming back to me. I guess he didn't tell me to protect me." Cheryl finally admitted.

She was able to keep calm when saying it but after it all came out, she started sobbing. Tears streaming down her face.

Veronica just embraced her crying friend once again.

They sat there, Cheryl sobbing into Veronica's chest. Veronica's comforting embrace and smell helped Cheryl soothe herself.

After letting out all her cries and tears, Cheryl finally lifted her head up. Catching her breath, she managed to make words out.

"Thank you for being here, V. I really appreciate it." Cheryl admitted, managing to let out a smile.

The two girls looked at eachother, Veronica sending a smile back.

"Of course, Cher. You're my best friend.. And I love you. I'd do anything for you." Veronica replied.

Cheryl's smile grew as they looked into each others eyes.

"Cheryl?" The raven-haired girl asked.

"Mhm?"

The two girls stared at eachother. Veronica moved her eyes from Cheryl's brown orbs to her curled, bold, red lips. She began to lean in.

Cheryl looked down to her lips as well. She had a darker shade of purple lipstick on.

Veronica cupped Cheryl's face and continued getting closer. Cheryl didn't stop the girl, but instead began leaning in too. The two girls closing the gap between. Their lips moving in sync and Veronica smiling behind the kiss. The two girls pulled away seconds later. Veronica licking her lips as they pulled away, and Cheryl ending the kiss with a light blush.

Cheryl wasn't sure how she felt about the kiss. She enjoyed kissing Veronica. There was no doubt that Cheryl didn't find Veronica attractive. Cheryl loved Veronica. As a friend, always. She just wasn't sure if it would ever be more than that. But, looking at the raven-haired beauty, she could tell that she enjoyed the kiss more than she had herself. The kiss definitely did leave an effect on her. But maybe it was only because she was kissing a beautiful girl. Kissing Veronica didn't feel like how she felt when she'd kiss Toni. Spending all those days tutoring Toni was beginning to bring back all those good memories with her. Especially after their last interaction.

Immediately after the kiss, they heard someone turning the door knob trying to get in. Then, a banging on the door.

"Cheryl?!" A familiar voice yelled out, over the music playing in the background.

It sounded like the voice of an angel at this point.

It was Toni. Cheryl knew her voice anywhere. And now that she thought about it, it was the other voice that she had heard that night of the last party.

"Are you in there?" The serpent yelled out.

Cheryl stood up immediately after she realized, Veronica mirroring her actions. The redhead unlocked the door and turned the doorknob, finding Toni standing in front of the door.

"Hey, I saw you run out crying.. So I came to find you to make sure you were okay." Toni admitted.

Cheryl sent Toni a small smile.

"You hit Reggie that day at school because of me." Cheryl stated, realizing now why she did it.

"Didn't you?"

Toni cleared her throat before answering.

"I did."

Cheryl looked to Veronica and sent her a small smile.

"Veronica, could you leave Toni and I to talk please?"

Veronica nodded, "If you need anything, let me know."

The raven-haired girl walked off, leaving Toni and Cheryl alone.

Cheryl walked up to Toni, getting closer to her so that they could have a conversation where she could hear her clearly over the loud music. The two decided on walking into an empty room to have a talk. They locked the door behind them, just so no one would walk in mid conversation. The two girls sat on the edge of the bed, beside eachother.

"You were there the night that Reggie—" Cheryl paused, not knowing how to continue.

"Attempted.. I didn't let him get that far." Toni explained.

Cheryl nodded, looking at Toni.

"I caught him just before he was going to. I stopped him." Toni continued.

"I helped you up, fixed you up.. Obviously. Then, I took you home. Jason answered and we both took you up to your room, made sure you were safe."

"I would've stayed with you but, that night I got the call about my brother." The serpent tried to explain.

"I'm sorry that you had to deal with all of that all in one night." Cheryl apologized.

"Don't apologize for that. I would've done anything to protect you." Toni admitted.

"Really?" Cheryl questioned.

"Cheryl... Yes." Toni replied, smiling at the redhead.

Cheryl sent her a smile back.

"Thank you for everything, Toni." Cheryl responded.

The redhead pulled Toni into a hug. It was completely unexpected and came so quickly that Toni didn't see it coming. It took Toni a minute to react to the hug. She stood there as she felt the girls embrace around her. Her hair smelled like strawberries, her lips like cherry and her clothes smelled like outside and alcohol. But, Toni was able to move past the smell of alcohol, smelling the girls hair as Toni finally hugged back.

It was such a comforting hug. A well needed hug. A hug that the two girls longed for. A hug they didn't even know they wanted... Or needed.

"C'mon.." Toni started.

"Let me walk you home. I wanna make sure you get home safe." Toni said, pulling away with a huge smile plastered on her face.
