"Serpents? What's my brother got to do with serpents?" Cheryl questioned to herself in a whisper.

Cheryl quickly looked at the time and noticed she was about to be late to her class and ran all the way there.

Cheryl sat in her class, watching the clock waiting for a certain serpent to walk in the classroom late as she always did. 1 minute
left in class and Toni still hadn't shown. The bell rang and Cheryl took her phone out to text the pink-haired serpent.

Where are you?

No response. 20 minutes later she felt her phone vibrate. Cheryl waited til the end of class to check her phone, just as she always did.

serpent biz, gingersnap. won't be at school today.

Cheryl read the message but didn't respond. She so badly wanted to see the girl she now had the biggest crush on.

Cheryl sat at her desk as she did her homework. A soft knock was heard and Cheryl looked up to her door.

"Knock, knock." He said with a smile. Their eyes met and Cheryl sighed.

"Hi Jason." Cheryl stated then looked back down to her homeowork.

"Cher.. Can we talk?"

Cheryl nodded and looked to her brother.

"Cheryl, are you okay?"

"Yes, I'm fine."

"No you're not. I know you Cheryl, I've known you since the womb. I know when somethings up. So just tell me. What's wrong?" Jason asked his sister with full on concern.

"Jason." Cheryl hesitated.

Cheryl got up from her chair and went to her bed, sitting on the edge. Cheryl looked down to her hands as she played with them.

"I-I don't know how to tell you."

It was silent for a moment. Jason walked over to his sister and sat beside her on the edge of her bed.

"Cheryl, what was that picture? Why are you hanging with serpents? Especially Toni. You know she's gay and I think she likes you." Jason pointed out. "I can take care of her if she's bothering you. I-"

"Jason, no. I'm not hanging with serpents. I'm just hanging with Toni. And so what, what if she likes me?" Cheryl questioned.

"What do you mean what if? She has a reputation, Cheryl. Why do you care?"

"And so what if, I like Toni." Cheryl blurted out and stood up, looking away from her brother.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean... What if I like Toni.. As more than a friend." Cheryl said as she began to get nervous and walked back to her desk, lightly crying.

Both Blossoms stayed quiet.

"Cheryl." Jason finally called as he got up, following his sister's actions. "Are you saying you like her, romantically?" Jason questioned.
