Once Upon a Time in sage durvasa was
doing hard penance to please Mahadev
and it happened Mahadev was exceptionally happy with durvasa and give him a boon and a beautiful garland made from the flowers of Parijat.
the boon was the ability to give curses and boOns to other people.
Maharishi durvasa was very happy that day He was merrily walking through swarglok smiling and singing praises of Mahadev .
soon Devraj reached that place where Maharishi durvasa was on his gigantic and beautiful elephant aairavat
as soon as Devraj Saw Maharishi durvasa he came down from his elephant and touched his feet to take blessing and Rishi durvasa bless him and give him the garland that Mahadev had given him but Indira in his foolishness and arrogance give that dresses garland to his elephant smashed it under its feet which angered Rishi durvasa very much and he said
D - Indra Apne Abhiman Mein Tumne Mahadev ki thi Hui bhent ka apman Kiya Hai Iske Dand Swaroop Har Ek DEv
Apna Sukh,Samriddhi ,Aishwarya aur Lakshmi Koh Denge .
and as soon as Maharishi durvasa those words everything the gLorY, the power and the richeS of the Gods were taken away from them and they went straight into the ocean .
but there was something that Maharishi durvasa didn't realise that along with all the wealth and happiness and glory Went the personification of wealth happiness and glory the beloved Consort of Narayan Jagat Kalyani Mahalaxmi .
In vaikunth
Jagat Pita Narayan and Jagat Kalyani Mahalaxmi Were resting in their beautiful Abode when they heard this horrible curse that was going to be the reason for them to be separated again Devi Lakshmi burst into tears
L - Narayan Ye Kaisa anarth hai abhi main kya karungi .
N - shri priye Shant ho jaaiye abhi aap Samudra Dev ki Putri Bankar punarjanm lena .
L - parantu Kyon ? Narayan kyon ?
N - Har Baat Samjhana Sambhav Nahin shri Samay samjhega .
with that Shri Left but before she could go in the Samudra she decided to go and talk to Mahamaya.
so she went to Mahamaya and said
L - hey Devi Mahamaya Meri ichcha Hai KI Aap Narayan ki Mujhse Judi sari yaden Mita De .
M - hey Devi Lakshmi aur kya kah rahi hai is birha ke Samay Mein yah Smriti Yahi to Unki sahayata Karenge .
L - parantu Devi Mahamaya Agar yah Smriti Rahegi hi nahin aur Narayan ko pata hi nahin Hoga Ki Main Kaun Hun To unhen Birha Ki pida Hogi hi Nahin .
M - parantu Devi Shri .
L - Kintu parantu Kuchh Nahin Devi Mahamaya agar aap Mujhe Apni bahan manta hai to aap mere pahiya Upkar Karenge .
M - theek hai Devi Shri Mein Aisa avashya karungi Kintu aapke agale Janm Mein Jab aap aur Narayan Ek Sath Saat Kadam chalenge Uske paAd narayan ki aur aap ki donon Smriti Wapas a jaEgi .
L - avashya Devi .
With that devi Laxmi went and Took birth as shri daughter of samudradev
Along side her older twin alakshmi who who is the personification of everything opposite of Lakshmi .
Samudra Dev and family all loved and adored both girls very much but favoured Shri a little more because when Her older twin was born everything was taken away from from Samudra Dev but as soon as Shri took birth everything will return to him alongside many many More valuable things .
Shri growing up over the most beautiful and perfect child anyone could have asked for naughty yet Calm , creative and beautiful she bought joy and happiness wherever she went and her older twin Did exactly the opposite things and because of this people of Samudra Lok became extremely protective over Shri and she was not allowed to leave her Kingdom but there was one thing about Shri that she did not like to be told what she would do she did not like to be restrained.
so she would Rebel and go out when no one was looking and came back within a certain time when no one would notice .
