Ashton: age 22
Luke: age 21

It's been four years since Ashton and Luke have talked to each other. Since Luke moved out of Niall's dorm, Niall received a new roommate, a boy named Liam who he started dating. Ashton and Zayn also received a different roommate, a boy named Louis, and Ashton a very nice guy named Harry who so happened to be Louis boyfriend. Pace University graduation ended about a week ago, and now Luke and Ashton are back in Australia with their families. Luke started working at the local music shop, while Ashton was a licensed music teacher at one of the high schools.

"Class settle down please, Robert take your seat now," Ashton instructed the class clown as he started his lesson. Being a music teacher, and single, is hard for Ashton. He would love to go home to a person to love him after a hard day at work, but sadly this is reality. He hates this job, all he does is assign textbook lessons and writes notes on the board for the students to copy.

"Mr. Irwin, are you single?" his student Jackie asked for the third time sitting next to Andrew who looked very familiar to a certain someone. Honestly though she's 15 and interested in a 22 year olds love life.

Ashton was about to answer when thoughts of Luke started to cloud his mind as he stared at Andrew, with the boy not knowing why his music teacher was staring at him so weird. He started to think back to the day he first met Luke, their first kiss as kids, their dates, prom, college, then the horrible break up that led him being single and depressed for five years.

"Mr. Irwin, are you alright?" Andrew asked and Ashton snapped out of his thoughts and continued the lesson like nothing happened.

He sat at his desk as the class wrote some notes down, then he received a text from his mum out of the blue. She knows he has a class at this hour, why would she text him? Unless its an emergency. He unlocked his phone and read the text, his eyes widened and this was definitely an emergency. 'Ash, Luke is in town this week! Son, I know things between you and Luke ended at a bad note but anything can happen. You guys love each other, and a love this strong can never be broken. Your choice. -Mom'.

Ashton blinked for a second looking at the text in shock. Luke's in town! And since when did his mother become so poetic?! He jumped from his seat and gathered his belongings.

"Class dismissed, um..something came up," he said and before he could leave Jackie spoke up.

"Is it a guy?" she asked and Ashton nodded smiling wide and the class cheered for him as he left the classroom and ran to his bike outside. He was soon pedalling through the streets of Sydney and looked at every place he could think of Luke would be at. He looked at his job, yes he knew where Luke worked but he never visited because of reasons unknown. He looked at his house, but Liz informed him he went out to the store near the park. That's when it hit him, Luke's at their park.

He thanked Liz and soon found himself at the park that started it all. He looked everywhere and saw a tall figure leaning against the monkey bars.

"Ashton, I'm sorry," he heard Luke say before he reached him.

"Don't be," Ashton said causing Luke to turn around and face the man he's loved for years.

"Ashton," Luke breathed out thinking he looks absolutely breath taking with his suit on and curly hair pushed back.

"Hey Luke," Ashton smiled looking into his deep blue eyes that he still can't help but get lost in.

Both boys looked at each other in a way a stranger could tell was love, and either one had no clue what to say to each other in this moment.

"Why are you sorry?" Ashton asked and Luke cleared his throat before answering him.

"It's my fault we haven't spoken, I was drunk and I saw you kiss someone else and I let my anger get the best of me, so for that I'm sorry Ashton," Luke said with so much emotion Ashton was in tears.

"It's not your fault Luke, but we're here now, together, at the park where we first met," Ashton said grabbing Luke's hands in his own.

"You're right, let's just put the past behind us and move on and just remember the good memories we shared together," Luke said and Ashton grinned and pulled Luke into a tight hug.

"I missed you," they said in unison and laughed at how silly they must look right now. Two grown men crying at a park filled with 4 year olds.

"So, you'll be my boyfriend again?" Luke asked shyly biting his lip.

"I'll have to think about it," Ashton said and Luke pouted.

"Oh," he said and Ashton giggled.

"Of course silly, I've been waiting 5 years for you working at a shitty high school, I'm not waiting any longer," Ashton said and Luke smiled his blue eyes shining with happiness.

Luke then pressed his lips against Ashton's, and after years of kissing him he still gets butterflies in his stomach from the contact. Ashton moved his lips in sync with Luke's as they shared a very heated and passionate kiss under the familiar monkey bars indicating their love was still strong, and will continue forever.
