Ashton: age 27
Luke: age 26
Amanda: age 6
Cole: age 7

It's Amanda and Cole's first day of school today and both kids woke their parents up to make them breakfast because the didn't want to be late to such an important even in their lives. Ashton had work and the high school that morning, but he let the school know he'll be late. Luke doesn't work, he's the stay at home mom. Niall teases him about that sometimes because so is Liam. Cole kept asking his dads which shirt looked alright on him, and they didn't know when their son all of a sudden cared about what he wore.

"Daddies we're going to be late!" Amanda said all ready in her blue skinny jeans, white shirt, sandals and a matching bow on her now blonde hair.

"Ok miss thing, let's go," Ashton said and Luke followed behind with a coffee in his hand. He thought Ashton looked hot in his suit so they took a little longer this morning than expected.

"Daddies! Theirs Cole!" Amanda said seeing Cole standing there with Liam and Niall wearing a batman shirt, shorts, and converse classics.

"Yay," Luke said sarcastically as Amanda got out the car.

"Hi Lili, Niall, hi Cole," Amanda said greeting them and Cole smiled seeing Amanda.

"Hi Amanda, you look pretty," Cole said and Amanda giggled.

"Ok kids, have a great first day," Liam and Niall told their son and both gave Cole hugs and left to their car.

"Amanda, come here," Ashton said and she went over to her dad. Ashton knelt down being eye level with her.

"Today is a very important day for you sweetie, and I want it to be special, so here," he said and handed her his guitar pick necklace he wore on his first day.

"Thanks daddy, I love you," she said and hugged him. She hugged Luke as well and both dads went over to their car and saw Cole hold Amanda's hand as they walked towards the entrance.

"That's a cool necklace," Cole said.

"Thanks," she said and looked at the dozens of students around her.

"I'm scared Cole, what if they don't like me?" she asked.

"That's silly Amanda, your great, don't worry I'll be by your side the whole day," Cole said.

"Promise?"

"Promise, I'll be your uh...Prince Charming!" he said and Amanda's eyes lit up.
"Like Cinderella's prince?" Amanda asked clutching the necklace in her hand.

"Yes, just like her prince," he said and both kids went into the school signalling their beginning of a new friendship, and possible love that their parents also experienced in this very town.

"Friendships last forever, and love lasts a lifetime" -Me :)

I hope you all enjoyed my Lashton short story. I had a great time writing it and I maybe be writing another like this one in the future.
