Marinette woke up the following morning in her bed.
"I must have fallen asleep last night and Chat Noir brought me to bed..." Marinette thought.
Her heart melted at the thought. After Char Noir comforted her at the Eiffel Tower when Hawk Moth revealed that he had all the Miraculous, Marinette had been having strange feelings towards him. It was almost like she had a...
"No. That's ridiculous," Marinette thought, not allowing herself to believe it. After all, she's in love with Adrien. Plus, she was still getting over what happened with Luka. She couldn't be falling for anyone else. Especially not him, with his flirtatious comments and strangely comfortable shoulder...and pretty eyes and outrageously fluffy hair...
She shook herself out of her reverie and headed downstairs.
"Mom, Dad, good morning!" Marinette called out once she reached the bakery, purse slung across her shoulder.
"Good morning, sweetie," Tom replied.
Sabine chuckled, "Marinette, dear, did you forget that it's Saturday?"
Marinette's eyes widened as she saw the calendar showing that it was, indeed, Saturday. "Oh, shoot, I forgot," Marinette whined.
"Well, since you're already dressed, why don't you go out today. The weather is very nice," Sabine said, her hands busily assembling different pastries on the display.
Marinette glanced outside, seeing the sunny sky. It had been raining on and off for about a week, so seeing a bright sky was rare.
Marinette agreed with the idea and brought her— Adrien's— umbrella just in case the weather decided to spite her.
She set out, breathing in the fresh air deeply. Tikki stuck her head out of the purse and hummed happily.
With a slight skip in her step, Marinette headed into a cafe not too far from her house.
She noticed a pair of boys and almost laughed at how comically different they seemed.
One had bright blonde hair, light blue eyes, and freckles adorning his face. He wore a bright orange shirt and khaki shorts, seemingly unaffected by the wild weather of Paris. The other boy wore all black long-sleeved clothes. His mullet was tied into a messy half-bun which strangely suited him.
At first glance, the boys seemed to be arguing in another language which Marinette identified as English. However, upon further examination, Marinette realized the taller, blonde boy was teasing his friend about something.
The emo one huffed in annoyance but had a noticeable blush highlighting his cheeks. "Either they're a couple or the emo has a major crush on the blonde one," Marinette thought, grinning inwardly.
She realized she had been staring for too long and went up to the register to order a drink.

Nico and Will had been relaxing under a tree with Peleus the dragon watching over them, back at camp two days ago.
Nico's head was on his boyfriend's lap, taking comfort in the natural warmth that the son of Apollo radiated.
Will played with Nico's hair, braiding small strands of it and smoothing out his abundant tangles. Will recently got Hazel to cut Nico's hair into a mullet; so that it would have some shape rather than the wild locks he usually went around with. The hairstyle suited Nico much more than he originally thought.
Will leaned down and pecked Nico's nose. Nico's eyes fluttered open. "What was that for?" he questioned with a small pout on his face.
Will replied, "You're just too adorable." He planted another soft kiss on his lips making both boys flush slightly.
Nico wanted all days to be like this. No people, no monsters, no gods or goddesses asking for help; just him and Will being together.
But good things rarely last as most demigods know. Peace gets disrupted in a matter of seconds if you're not careful.
"Well, well, if it isn't my absolute almost favorite couple!" a familiar voice squealed.
There it was. The disruption.
Nico sat up, resisting the urge to roll his eyes. Before them stood the goddess, Aphrodite. To Nico, she had blonde hair and freckles, just like Will's. He blushed, knowing that Aphrodite's appearance changes to fit the beauty standards of the person looking at her.
"I wonder what Will sees when he looks at her," Nico thought, trying not to imagine that Will was seeing someone with semblance to him.
"Almost favorite?" Will muttered under his breath, looking put out.
"Well, yes, there are just too many cute couples for me to choose just one favorite," Aphrodite, who obviously heard him, replied.
"Cut to the chase. Why are you here, Lady Aphrodite?" Nico questioned. He might have been tired of the gods, but unlike Percy, he couldn't help but address them properly. After all, his mother raised him to always be polite to others, especially if they were older.
"I'm sending the two of you to Paris!" Aphrodite cheered, clearly proud of herself for this decision.
"What? Why?" Will asked confusedly.
"Oh, well...It's the city of love! And you two are one of my favorites!" she responded, sounding hesitant.
Nico's eyes narrowed, "There's another reason, isn't there?"
Aphrodite's eyes got dangerously bright, "Now, now, young heroes, is that any way to respond to a gift?"
Nico and Will exchanged guarded glances. Aphrodite clearly had a bigger picture in mind but they couldn't imagine what it could be.
Aphrodite smiled assuredly, once again putting on a disarming face, "I'm sure you're worried, but don't be! Here," she tossed them two necklaces, "these will help you communicate with the Parisian, and all your necessities will be waiting for you there. Toodles!"
"Wait—" Will's cry got cut off as Aphrodite snapped her fingers and sent them off with a poof.
Nico and Will found themselves at a fancy-looking hotel with suitcases by their feet.
"She just..." Will trailed off dejectedly. He face-planted into one of the comfy mattresses and let out a strange guttural sound. "You've gotta be kidding me!"
Nico sighed in agreement, letting out a few cuss words in Italian that his Mamma would definitely scold him for had she been there.
"What could Aphrodite possibly want us to do in Paris?" Nico asked rhetorically.
