Chloé gave Will and Nico her famous glares and asked obnoxiously, "Who are you, and why are you sitting so close to my Adrikins?"

Despite being upset with Adrien after everything that had occurred, she couldn't help but fall into her old ways of being protective of him. She did want to reconcile with him but couldn't bring herself to talk to him honestly, so she resorted to acting as she always did.

Peter wanted to know what was going on and quickly put on his high-tech glasses, whispering, "Translate everything they're saying to English." He tried to look nonchalant as he listened to their conversation.

Marinette scowled in annoyance. "Chloé, don't be rude to—"

"Shut up, Dupain-Cheng I wasn't talking to you."

"I'm sorry, but who are you?" Nico snapped, his eyes glaring at her dangerously, daring her to give just one answer that he finds unacceptable. The shadows curled and shimmered, ready to do his bidding. He tried to keep himself calm to avoid anyone from noticing it. The only students  listening to the conversation were the ones closest to them; they shivered and cautiously scooted away, not wanting to get caught in the crossfire.

Nico's aura became menacing, completely different from what they had seen mere seconds ago. He hated Chloé's tone when she spoke to Marinette. There weren't many people in his life that he considered a friend, but Marinette had quickly become a good one. Therefore, anyone who speaks rudely to her is dead to him.

Chloé tried to remain unphased and said, "Hah! I'm Chloé Bourgeois, daughter of the Mayor of Paris, André Bourgeois, and famous fashion designer, Audrey Bourgeois."

Nico gave an unnerving half-smile, "That's great, blondie. How nice for you. We're just teenagers who were eating ice cream at a famous ice cream stand. You know. Like normal people. Before you came in here with that unwanted attitude. Have your oh-so-famous parents never taught you manners? Never speak to Marinette, or us, that way again."

He turned back to his friends and stuffed a spoonful of ice cream in his mouth. The shadows stilled and he glared at the spectators who were still staring. Peter looked at the exchange curiously. "It's like he had a whole 180. I never expected to see a side like that to him," Peter thought. Despite having known him for just one afternoon, Peter felt rather shocked to see Nico act like that.

The only one who remained unphased was Will who looked very slightly apologetic. Not for Chloé, though, she had it coming, and he was proud of his boyfriend for speaking up. He just knew how scary it was to experience the son of Hades's famous glares and felt bad for the people who were listening in on the conversation.

Before he could say anything, Ms. Bustier stepped in, "Actually, I don't see your names on my list of students. Who are you?"

Marinette, Adrien, and the demigods froze. How would they get out of this? Not many people were within hearing distance of them, but they were having so much fun pretending to be 'double agents' in the class that they didn't want to risk it. Ms. Bustier knew they weren't from Peter's school, and she clearly knew they weren't students in her class. Adrien was the first to break out of his stupor and said, "Will's my cousin! I texted him earlier about where we were going, and he decided to surprise me! See, he just came to Paris from New York, and we haven't seen each other in a long time."

Marinette blinked a few times. How did he even think of that on the spot? None of them had anticipated getting caught so they didn't even plan a cover story. It was believable, too, since they both had blonde hair. Although, Will's seemed to glow when hit by the sun at certain angles.

Will reacted quickly, though, and added, "Yeah! Sorry, we barged in on your class like this, Miss. I just missed Adrien a lot and wanted to see him when I realized he was close by. Do you mind if my boyfriend and I spend the rest of the day with you guys? It's fine if you don't."

Ms. Bustier was stunned but said, "Well, no, I don't mind. You guys can stay with us, of course, as long as you have permission from your parents."

Will looked beyond happy, "Thank you, Miss! I'll text them now."

Ms. Bustier nodded and went to check on the other students. The four immediately let out a breath of relief.

"That was some quick thinking, Adrien. Good one!" Will exclaimed while Nico nodded.

Adrien rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly, "Thanks."

Little did they know that he's had quite a bit of practice making excuses this past year. It's started to come to him naturally after the first few months of being Chat Noir.

Chloé, who was still lurking, said suspiciously, "I thought Félix was your only cousin."

Marinette and Adrien stiffened at the name.

Félix.

They hadn't heard anything from him since he gave Hawk Moth the Miraculous.

Marinette clenched her hand into a fist, trying not to scowl. Adrien, however, looked natural and replied, "Well, Will is more of a distant cousin, but the family tree is too confusing to pinpoint exactly how he's related, so I just call him my cousin." Will nodded in agreement, hiding his surprise at Adrien's good acting.

Chloé humphed and went back to Sabrina. No one noticed the sad eyes she directed towards Adrien when she sat down.

Peter, who was pretending not to know what was going on, asked, "What was that about?"

He knew his new friends were probably not criminals or anything but it was strange how suspicious they were being. His 'Peter tingle' was telling him they were lying, but why would they need to lie to the teacher?

The demigods exchanged glances and seemed to have a silent conversation. Nico nodded and Will turned back to Peter. Will broke out in a mischievous grin and quieted his voice so that only Peter, Ned, and MJ would hear, "Actually, Nico and I are undercover. We wanted to be with Adrien and Marinette so we sneaked in and thought it'd be fun if everyone would think we were from the other school. Like double agents."

He gave them a knowing wink, "Don't tell anyone, okay?"

MJ laughed and said, "That sounds so fun. I wanna do that one day."

Ned looked at her strangely, "Sounds stressful, more like."

Nico gave an amused short laugh. The Chloé girl had bothered him. It reminded him of the way his old bullies would talk back in Italy. He hadn't thought of them in a long time and it was unnerving to suddenly be reminded. He sighed and leaned into Will, nudging him to feed him ice cream, no longer wanting to waste energy by doing it himself.

Will understood and wrapped his arm around his boyfriend comfortingly. Nico had told him about the few memories he had from back then and knew what he was thinking now.

Will leaned in and whispered in Ancient Greek, "Don't think about it, angel. I'm here."

Nico nodded and sighed. "Easier said than done," he whispered back, making Will's hold on him tighten.
