(13) Now Why Do We Have to Dress Up Too?

[Nico's POV]

"You're seeing what I'm seeing, right?" Nico asked, trying not to rub his eyes from all the bright-colored suits. Like, really? A bright red, polka-dotted suit? Who's idea was that? And a spider-themed suit? At least the cat boy's suit was black, but the bell, tail, and ears were a bit...much. 

"Wait, is his tail a belt?!" Will exclaimed with wide eyes. Nico sighed. What has the world come to?

"Are you sure they need help?" Nico questioned. "Surely three 'superheroes' or whatever can handle a bunch of wasps."

Will made a face at him, causing Nico to groan. Of course, they were going to help. Who in their right minds wouldn't? Oh right. Just every other normal human who values their life. 

"Shouldn't we be trying to stay inconspicuous, though? I think I saw a girl filming earlier," Nico reasoned. He really didn't feel like fighting in battles any time soon. 

Will hummed, glancing around. "Oh!" he exclaimed and put his hands together in prayer. 

"Ohh, no, no, no, please don't," Nico begged. 

"Lady Aphrodite, a little help?" Will asked before he could acknowledge his boyfriend's protests. The air around them began to smell of flowery perfume, and a bright light flashed. 

"Oh, you've got to be kidding me," Nico deadpanned. Their outfits had changed to similar "superhero" outfits as the others. 

Nico's outfit was deep black with no sleeves, showing off his defined biceps and a hood over his head that mostly covered his eyes. His mouth and nose were covered with a light sleeveless turtleneck sweater. A lighter tone of black black, also with no sleeves, leather jacket was on top of the turtleneck.His pants had various belts around them—winding down his legs and layering at his waist. His boots were dark gray, and stopped just a few inches above his ankle. 

"Wow, you look hot," Will blurted as soon as he saw his boyfriend. Nico blushed deeply, which fortunately wasn't visible due to his face being covered. 

Nico glanced at Will and, if it was even possible, flushed even more. No doubt his ears under the hood resembled tomatoes with how much he was blushing. 

Will was wearing a similar outfit as him. However, his clothes were various shades of yellow that weren't blinding but, rather, strangely comforting. Adding on to the belts around his waist, his medicinal bag—which had been left at camp—was also included.

"So do you," Nico tried to say nonchalantly. He would have been successful if it wasn't for him clearly avoiding Will's gaze. He rubbed his biceps awkwardly, not used to his arms being exposed. 

The two of them started toward the fighting and lingered for a bit, trying to get a hold of the enemies location. 

[Chat Noir's POV] 

After directing the brainwashed civilians a little farther away, Ladybug had Spiderman use his webs to keep them away. The three of them ducked into an alley to have a little privacy before fighting. 

"Good work," she said to the two boys. "Sorry about the weird circumstances. I'm Ladybug, and this is my partner, Chat Noir."

Chat Noir grinned at her introduction of him. 'Partner.' He was still feeling a little put off by how many different teammates they've been having recently, but that one word reassured him. He was her partner, no matter what. 

"Pleased to meet you," Chat Noir said, bowing to Spiderman with his usual flair. 

"Likewise. I'm Spiderman. I'm actually here in Paris with the rest of my team. We wanted to help you guys out after hearing what happened to the Miraculous," Spiderman said quickly—trying to fill them in while he could. 

Chat Noir and Ladybug's eyes widened. The American superheroes were in Paris to help them with Hawk Moth? Chat Noir broke into a heart-melting smile. He felt as if a weight had lifted off his shoulders. Of course, he had no doubt that he and Ladybug would have been able to do it, but it was nice to know they had more support. 

[Will's POV] 

Will and Nico saw the three superheroes duck into an alley. 

"How're we going to get there without the wasps seeing us?" he asked. Nico smiled mischievously. He placed a hand on Will's shoulder and, before Will could protest, pushed the two of them into a shadow. 

"Tada," Nico smirked in celebration. The three superheroes jumped at the sudden addition of two more masked heroes. Nico's face blanched. He clearly forgot that they were planning on scouting for information before showing themselves. "Oops," he said, which Will found adorable. 

"Uh, hi," Will started, "We're here to help. I'm, uh—" 

Nico cut him off, knowing he was about to say something dumb. "This is Sol," he said, remembering the time Leo wanted to compare Spanish and Italian and told him the meaning of the word 'sun.' "And I'm...Shadow," he didn't think too hard about it since he didn't really care about what they would call him. 

Will, however, apparently did since he loudly said, "Lame."

"Leave me alone," Nico replied. 

The other three heroes looked confused. "Look, we're here to help. You looked like you needed it," Nico blandly said, still rubbing his exposed arms, feeling out of place without his sleeves. 

"I'm Spiderman," Spiderman introduced, finally understanding the situation.

[Peter's POV]

How did these two appear out of nowhere without him noticing? His enhanced senses should've alerted him of their presence, but they appeared as if they were ghosts—they didn't trigger his reflexes at all.

[Will's POV] 

"I'm Chat Noir; this is Ladybug. Nice to meet you," Chat Noir said, making eye contact with both demigods. 

Oh? Will tilted his head confusedly. There appeared to be some Mist around Chat Noir and Ladybug's masks. It seemed really strong, too, since he barely noticed that it was there. He focused his gaze in order to look passed it and..."Eh? Mari—"

hi im back!

Yayy all our teenage heroes finally met!! yeah i had no idea what to call Nico and i figured he wouldn't actually care what his name would be lol
