[Hawkmoth's POV]
Hawkmoth was sitting in a dark conference room with a cloaked man. "You see, Mr. Moth, your old tricks won't work on these heroes, especially now that they've joined forces with each other. This was shown clearly by how quickly you lost the Bee Miraculous to them," the cloaked man said. Hawkmoth scowled but tried to contain his anger. "Now, will you let us uphold our end of the deal, or will you insist on using one of your old pawns again?" the man continued.
"No...It's your turn to prove your usefulness. However, everything will be run by me, and I am the one who gives the final orders. Understood?" Hawkmoth asked sternly. He hated having to use this organization and not one of his old methods, but if they could get him the Miraculous he wanted, then he didn't care about anything else.

[Nico's POV]
Nico and Will were in their hotel room, having just finished buying breakfast. Nico sunk into the soft velvet couch that resided in the middle of the large room, tired from their little morning adventure of finding good places to get breakfast. Will unpacked the crepes they bought and made them coffee in the small kitchenette. He placed their food on a round table in front of the couch.
Will had already told Nico the details of his conversation with Clint and Nico, in turn, told him about his time with Natasha and Steve the previous night.
The two of them were now sitting in comfortable silence, not feeling the need to talk as they relished in each other's company. Nico took a bite out of his crepe and watched Will take out one of the many medical books that Lady Aphrodite packed in their bags.
Nico's mind wandered, thinking over the events of the past few days. Surely there must have been a reason they were sent here. Lady Aphrodite wouldn't have just sent them for the sake of fighting a so-called villain when it had nothing to do with the gods. He got distracted by the pattern of the floor momentarily, beginning to trace it with his feet. He sighed and drank his coffee, looking back at Will.
His boyfriend's hair appeared to be glowing in the sun as it always does, his bangs falling into his face while he leaned over his book. "Don't forget to eat," Nico reminded him. Will nodded and took a bite out of his crepe. Once they finished their food, Nico stood up and put his hand over the words on Will's book.
"I'm bored," he said simply. Will smiled and closed the book. "What do you want to do? Explore?" Will asked.

[Marinette's POV]
Marinette was at her desk, looking through the photos she and Chat Noir took the previous day of plausible locations. Huh, this is awfully close to where Adrien lives, she noted. Suddenly she heard several screams from outside.
She rushed to her balcony and scanned the area. Giant robots were stomping around Paris and breaking buildings. Citizens were jumping out of the way of their large metallic appendages, falling over, terrified.
"Tikki, spots on!" Marinette cried and jumped down to a nearby rooftop. There are so many of them. Is there only one akumatized person? she wondered.
Ladybug heard a small thump behind her and turned to look for the source. "Agh!" she heard a woman yell, charging at her with an orange ball. She recognized it immediately. It was the powers of the Dog Miraculous. Has Hawkmoth given someone a Miraculous?
Seconds before the ball touched her earrings, Chat Noir appeared and shoved the ball out of the way. Ladybug was just about to dodge but was grateful that he appeared when he did.
"Second chance!" she heard someone call in the distance.
Ladybug heard a small thump behind her and turned to look for the source. "Agh!" she heard a woman yell, charging at her with an orange ball. She heard a grunt from beside her, seeing Chat Noir fighting with someone from the corner of her eye. Was the person he was fighting wearing the Snake Miraculous? Just as the ball neared her earrings she dodged and grabbed the woman's arm.
She lunged for the Miraculous around the woman's neck and tried to use her weight to flip her over.
"Second chance!" the man Chat Noir was fighting yelled.
Ladybug heard a small thump behind her and turned to look for the source. "Agh!" she heard a woman yell, charging at her with an orange ball. She saw Chat Noir fighting someone wearing the Snake Miraculous out of the corner of her eye. She struggled with the woman in front of her and was about to flip her over.
[a few minutes earlier]
[Nico's POV]
Nico and Will were walking around Paris, exploring the different areas when they suddenly got attacked by giant robots. Nico quickly shadow traveled them to a rooftop to get a better gauge of the situation when they saw Ladybug and Chat Noir fighting two people in similar superhero suits. The two of them pressed their necklaces, once again giving them their own superhero outfits.
He noticed that the man in the snake-themed suit was hesitating as if thinking through all the possible actions he could be making. Nico took the opportunity and shadow traveled himself and Will next to them, knocking the man out with the back of his sword.
That's what you get for hesitating in the middle of a battle, Nico thought amusedly.
Chat Noir rushed forward and unlatched a bracelet from the man's wrist, holding it tightly.
[Ladybug's POV]
Ladybug flipped the woman over, hoping Chat Noir could deal with his fight long enough for her to get the Dog Miraculous. The woman struggled on the ground, wrestling her way free. Ladybug momentarily let go of her to reposition herself and get a better grip on the woman, giving her enough time to break free.
She kicked at Ladybug's stomach, pushing her to the ground. "Lucky charm!" Ladybug called, not seeing what object fell into her hands. The woman seemed to abandon her ball and lunged for Ladybug's earrings with her hand. Just as she wrapped her fingers around them, Will appeared from behind her with a pale rag that he put to the woman's mouth and nose, knocking her out instantly.
Ladybug gasped and sat up, putting her hands to her earrings. That had been dangerously too close for comfort. She glanced over to Chat Noir who was already prodding the other enemy with his staff. She crawled over the woman and undid the clasps of the necklace that was the dog Miraculous.
"What did you use to knock that woman out?" Chat Noir asked Will.
"Oh, just a little concoction I made in my spare time," Will replied nonchalantly.
Chat Noir shrugged and made his way to Ladybug, dropping the Snake Miraculous into her hands. She placed both pieces of jewelry into the safety of her yo-yo. "That was strange. It was like they hadn't thought this through," Nico said after a bit. "The man was hesitating and had no idea what he was doing."
Ladybug brought her hand to her chin in thought and said, "The reason I chose the holder of that Miraculous the way I did was because he knew how to think on his feet. This person clearly wasn't used to using his powers yet."
"But what about the robots? And you didn't even need your Lucky Charm this time," Chat Noir wondered. Ladybug finally acknowledged the object her Lucky Charm gave her. It was a normal bouncy ball. I wonder, she thought.
She threw the ball onto one of the robots hard. The second it made contact, all the robots disappeared. "It was an illusion," she stated. "He was trying to lure us out. But why...?"
The four teenagers didn't notice the little masked person in gray latching themself onto Nico's leg.
