(6) Unsuccessfully Successfully Sneaking In

After spending most of Sunday texting each other, Nico and Will felt like they had become good friends with Marinette and Adrien. It was now Monday, the day Gabriel Agreste "returned" home.

Marinette was getting ready for school when she heard the familiar ping of her phone. She checked it to see that it was the group chat the four of them had made that Saturday. Will, the admin of the chat, had quickly set new usernames for all of them, threatening that he would change it to something more embarrassing the second he had the chance.

Neeks: O yea u guys have school today huh

Neeks: that sucks lol 

Neeks: imagine going to school 

Neeks: cant relate

To cover up the reason why they were in Paris, Nico and Will said that they were on summer break and traveling for an indefinite amount of time since the two Parisians wouldn't know the American school system well. Thankfully, they weren't questioned about it so they decided to stick with the story.

Mari: ahhhh dont rub it in our facessss 

WiLl: 😂😂

WiLl: When are you guys going to be done? Let's meet up 

Adrien: I have a photoshoot after school 😔

WiLl: Then we'll meet you there instead!

Adrien: Really?

Neeks: yea totally just give us the time and place

Adrien: You too, Marinette?

Marinette panicked. Her? Going to Adrien's photoshoot? How would she reply to that?

Mari: yup!

Adrien: Okay! 

~

Nico and Will smirked at each other at the exchange. "I ship so much," Will thought to himself, practically squealing. 

After Adrien shared the information Marinette got a text from Alya.

Als: girlllll do you remember the thing Ms. Bustier was telling us about some Americans coming to our school for French-American Friendship Week????

Als: that's today!1!!1!!

Mari: omg rlly?

Mari: that's awesomee

Marinette returned to the other group chat and told them the news.

Neeks: yk

Neeks: i think we can sneak in with them

Mari: ????

Neeks: :]

"Marinette, you're going to be late," Sabine called from downstairs. 

Marinette hurried downstairs, with her purse and backpack in tow. 

Tikki quickly flew after her and dove into her open purse. "Safe!" she thought as she landed in her designated spot before being seen. 

Marinette grabbed a few pastries for later and ran to the school, meeting Alya there. 

She gasped for breath and greeted Alya, "Hey, Als, good morning."
