"Sorry for messing with you earlier." (Y/N)'s voice suddenly broke the silence, her hand reaching to the canvas to place one final brushstroke.

"I still don't understand what someone like you is doing here."

"Does Councillor (L/N) ring a bell? That was my grandmother. Our bloodline has roots in the Undercity, so our family was often chosen to be the voice of it. Since grandma's passing things had been messier than usual over here, and we have been demoted from talking for the Undercity since then. They thought we were gonna turn our backs at them." She sat up from the cold ground, leaving her dirty, colorful brush in the box. Without looking at her model, she took the painting she did of her and placed it at a comfortable distance so both of them could admire it.

"What are you trying to say?" Violet glanced at the portrait, eyes slightly wide at the beauty of it, and her voice clearly showed the awe.

"I want positive change. With all my respect, fuck the Council. I want all of them to see what's going on right under their noses. I'll have an exposition of all the paintings I've done in the Undercity in a little over a month after my stay here is completed. I intend of speaking about everything I saw here at the grand reveal of it." She scratched her face, causing the pink-haired girl to notice her colored hands and the mess she had made, but she couldn't help but give her a warm smile. It was obvious that her intentions were genuine, and that was enough.

"I've never thought someone so civilized like you could speak such words. You'll get detained in no time if you speak about the Undercity." Her rosy lips curled into a nice smirk which soon erupted into laughter from both of them.

"I thought about it for some time now, I'm ready for it if it means opening up their eyes." Her hair flew from side to side, a chilly gust of wind hitting them from the back.

"How're you gonna name this one?" Vi jokingly said, elbowing the girl who already seemed to be into her own world, her (e/c) eyes not leaving the painting for one second no matter what happened around the two girls.

" 'Undercity's beauty' fits pretty well I guess..." (Y/N) sighs, truly hoping that she hasn't gone over the edge with that one, yet the pink-haired girl couldn't find this more amusing.

"I see. Welcome to the Playground, cupcake."

.          .          .

"Do you think that sounded good?"

"You're still caught up with that speech?" Violet punched the robot once more, sweat dripping on her face, blood slowly covering the bandage around her knuckles.

"Two weeks have already passed, I have one more week to perfect it, so give me some ideas." The young girl sighed, crumbling the paper she has been writing on until that point and throwing it on the ground in a pile full of scrunched-up papers.

Vi remained still for a second though, as she only then realized that her newly made friend had only one more week left in the Undercity with her. The robot took that advantage, giving her a good punch straight in the face, resulting in a little yell from the girl as she crouched to the ground.

"Vi!" Her name echoed through the mainly empty room as the only ones there were the two of them. She quickly approached the girl with an old cloth dampened in water to wipe the blood off her face and hands.

"What's wrong with you, don't just stop like that!" (Y/N) scolded and carried her to a chair to rest.

"Damn, such force, carrying me to a chair like that. Maybe you wanna try the machine, little miss?" She joked, pink strands of hair which she soon slicked back covered her face.

"I'm much more skilled with words. And maybe a gun. I would fight if you wish, though I'm not sure how efficient that would be." She pushed stray strands of hair behind her ear as her hand reached one of their so-called 'guns' they used to practice with and turned the aim training machine on. Colorful targets went from side to side, resulting in her shooting whatever went in her point of view.

"Always be mindful of your back, cupcake." A voice whispered into her ear, a little 'pow' following after.

"Did you just shoot me with your fingers, Vi?" An obviously dramatic gasp escaped the girl's mouth.

"Who's gonna have your back if not yourself? You gotta adjust your position so it's easier for you to turn around and punch when you need to." Her ashy eyes looked her up and down as she got closer and moved the girl's body to her own imagination.

"I hoped that you would be the one to have my back, not the one to shoot me, Violet." The girl put emphasis on her name, rolling her eyes jokingly, yet Vi turned away in one motion as soon as she finished fixing the girl's pose.

Truthfully, since this mysterious girl appeared in her life, it was as if she had awakened something inside of her. She kept feeling things she never even thought about before, and with each week the two of them stayed together it seemed to get worse and worse for poor Violet. She herself didn't know how she felt so close to a person she met no more than two weeks ago, but she couldn't complain about it. It was all gonna be gone in one week's time from now, so she might as well enjoy the warmth of such a person as long as she could.

"We'll always have each other's backs, don't you worry."
