-Feelings-

"We don't have time for this, Vi. If you're feeling better, get up, and let's go. We can't rest here any longer. They're tracking us for sure." (Y/N) slowly but surely got out of the woman's stern grip on her waist, wiping her mouth in the process. Her face felt hot to the touch, and her cheeks were visibly turning a lovely shade of pink that flattered her skin tone. The sexual tension was unbearable for arguably both of them.

"Are you sure we don't have time? You started everything with your half-assed confession just now. Don't you think that's a bit counter-intuitive on your part, miss enforcer? Also... I was expecting a more proper confession from you." The other woman smirked, her eyes following the girl's impatient figure as it paced around the dusty room with vividly colored walls in a childish manner.

"What? I didn't mean that as a confession! I did that only to distract you from the pain and because you wouldn't take it any other way. It was a spur-of-the-moment decision, no other reasons." She argued, still pacing side to side anxiously, not daring to gaze at the pink-haired girl, who, at this time, had already gotten up, stumbling on her feet, now feeling stronger than ever and all healed up, but with a prevalent frown on her face.

"You sure about that?" Vi's lips parted one more time, her voice hesitantly articulating each word slowly, unsure if she herself wanted to hear the answer. It was risky, something that could break them apart in a matter of seconds, but again, curiosity killed the cat.

"Yeah, no other reasons..." She answered, her voice subdued by guilt. Silence took over, and Violet's heart sunk into the ground.

"So it was always only a silly game to play with my feelings? This isn't fair, (Y/N)." Tears welled up in her ashy eyes at the thought of the futile one-sided love she had been hoping so much to bloom, yet to no avail. Her heart beat out of her chest, the same heart that chose such a cruel person to love many years ago, and the same heart that could not overlook that person just yet.

It was fate that tied them together, and fate will break them apart. Violet was but a convict of fate, and (Y/N) the one who shamelessly imprisoned her.

Before (Y/N) could even mouth a word back to her, Vi's fist made contact with the metal base holding the sign up, causing it to stagger, a few screws escaping the poorly made structure, accompanying a gasp from the said (h/c)-haired girl. Her eyes widened, and she turned her figure toward the woman, but she just couldn't face her. The anger the female had pent up inside for so long was showing through her expression, something that scared (Y/N) to the core, her feet slowly guiding her to the door.

"On any other occasion, I would have told you to break my heart as many times as you want, as it was always yours to break anyway, but now I can't. It's just too painful. I keep telling myself that there's hope, but then I think of what we could have been. You're too cold, I can't bear it." She went forth with her rant, pouring her most genuine feelings for all the world to hear, but only for one person to understand.

"I often wanted to ask you... Why don't you love who I am? But then I remember that we're from totally different worlds. Piltover and the Undercity never mixed well, did they? It's never going to work." Violet's teary eyes snapped at the sound of the door handle, and she turned her whole body to face the distressed (Y/N) who had already cracked the door open, revealing the scenery outside bit by bit.

"Is it time to say goodbye, cupcake? It's okay. Someday, I'll move on, even if that's going to be the day I die." She smirked, creating a joyful facade as their eyes met, yet the pain still lingered in the air like bitter poison.

"I'm sorry, Vi, I can't do this right now." Broken words came out of (Y/N)'s mouth as she tried to suppress her tears, yet as her back turned on her, a tear finally fell, and her heart stopped for a split second, not from her misery, but from the scene unraveling in front of her clouded eyes.

A single man, hands full of flasks of shimmer got surrounded in a matter of seconds, more and more coming from the total darkness of the place, the sounds that emerged from the fellows absolutely terrific. At the sight of this, the woman reached for her beloved revolver, yet as there was no sign of it, she stepped back inside the room, startling Violet with her wide bug eyes.

"Vander's prodigy..." The man spoke up as Vi took the lead and stepped outside, shielding her companion no matter their argument. She watched in dismay as he played with the bottles, ultimately throwing them on the ground for the figures to catch and scram, or drink and die.

"I've always regretted that we haven't had a chance to speak." He continued, slicking his hair back with that evergoing sly smile of his. It made her stomach turn and brows furrow, all playing into his amusement.

"What have you done to my sister?" She spat out, not getting any closer as it could cause danger, yet the threat was just arising in front of her very eyes.

"I only freed her. Too long have I thought that you were the prize of your secondhand family, but Jinx... She's more than I could have ever imagined, the best I could have asked for." He sneered, the uneasiness thickening the air all around, and it was as if a curtain stood in between them. He was so close, along with the sweet revenge she so craved, yet too far to reach just yet. It got on her nerves, and she noticeably grimaced.

"I'll find her and erase whatever fucked up delusions you whispered into her ear, but before that, I'll bring your whole bullshit empire down, and you'll have nothing, the same way you took everything from me and Powder." Vi threatened with clenched fists, her voice so harsh and so loud that it could've been heard from Piltover, but it was something she wanted everyone to hear, even her sister, wherever she was. It was a sorry attempt at declaring war, but strong enough to tick Silco off.

"You don't know your limits, girl. It's what got Vander killed, what drove your sister away, and why I'm here right now." He approached her along with his lackeys, convulsing and coughing because of the shimmer, but for once, the woman seemed peaceful as she sighed deeply with her eyes closed.

"Yeah, well... You talk too much." Violet's arms got in a fighting stance as her eyes opened, the creatures but an inch away from her as she leaped backward into the home and swung with all her might at the same pillar she hit earlier, causing the sign to collapse gradually.

Dust rose up into the air, rusted screws popped and rotten wood broke in only a matter of seconds. The creatures remained behind, crushed by the structure, as Vi grabbed (Y/N) by one of her arms to guide her to an exit of the ongoing spectacle.

They ran and ran again, looking back at each other with glassy eyes when one of them couldn't keep up. Their breaths hitched, legs tired from running, yet there was no other option. As their feet led them into the night and their eyes met from time to time, (Y/N)'s hand reached for Violet's, and with her most genuine feelings shown at that moment, they smiled at each other.

As their hands touched with a hint of hesitance, a blue fog took over the dark sky...
