"Vander's gonna kill us for this one." Claggor audibly sighed in unison with Mylo, being a few steps behind the pink-haired girl.
"He's only gonna find out about it if you screw up, so don't screw up." Vi spit out, carefully planning her next steps while being mindful of the area below which was full of enforcers.
"Couldn't we just ask (Y/N) for money or valuable stuff? She would've given us whatever we needed, and even more if it were you to ask her." Mylo scoffed, grey eyes glaring him down as soon as that name popped up.
"One more word about that, Mylo. One more word and you're flying down into the enforcers. I know, I know, work smarter, not harder, but I don't want it to seem that I got closer to her only so we can ask for money." She slicked her hair back with a hand, finally reaching the top of the roof after tedious climbing.
"Come take a look at this, Powder." Her eyes gleamed at the sight of a clear, light blue sky, an air balloon taking flight right over their heads.
"One day, I'm going to fly inside one of those things."
"And one day, I'm gonna shoot one of those things down." Mylo expressed himself as if mocking the little girl, to which Vi slapped his hand which was mimicking a gun pointed at the air balloon.
"Stop messing around." She glanced at them, descending towards the railing of a balcony.
"No, you stop messing around with that Piltie if it's all that genuine as you say."
"Are you out of your mind? Can't you see that she's a genuinely good person? She even said she'll try helping us with the money she got from that auction a week ago, and I didn't even bring it up!" Vi argued from the side of the railing, jumping onto another roof soon after.
"If she's gonna do all that why're we doing this right now? Shouldn't we stay at home and wait for this 'help' to arrive?" Mylo followed her steps very closely holding onto the railing for dear life, then landed the big jump on the roof Violet was already at the top of.
"Mylo, she's a minor, just like we are, she can't give us the world even if she wanted to! We can't live solely on the help she offers, we still gotta earn for ourselves, just like Vander said! Ugh, just forget it." Her expression changed as Claggor landed with a thud on the roof, her little sister being the last one remaining.
"Powder, remember what I told you! You can do it, come on!" She cheered up the younger girl, which was obviously scared, yet at her sister's words, she took a deep breath and slowly descended towards the railing.
"Yeah, I'm ready!" Her voice exclaimed, slightly trembling in the process. Stumbling on her feet, her tiny figure got to its destination.
"I'll catch you, just jump, Powder!" Violet assured her once again, extending a hand towards her in the process of doing so. The messy, blue-haired girl closed her eyes, and with an audibly deep breath, she jumped, trusting her landing on her older sister which caught her just in time.
Soon enough, they arrived at their destination, the balcony of a presumably rich man, which was locked to their frustration. Mylo took over that case. In the pink-haired girl's very humble opinion, Mylo was taking too much time opening the balcony door, so with a swift motion, she broke the door down, making way for everyone to go in.
"Take everything that looks valuable to you, Powder." Violet spoke with a softer voice and quickly started rummaging through the numerous shelves.
With the boys searching on the tables, Vi on the shelves, and Powder running around the rest of the house bringing stuff, the bag soon filled up with all kinds of things, some useful and pricy, and some not so much, but for the kids, it was all a big day's payoff.
Throughout all the silence except for the occasional sound of cluttering, Vi's ears perked up at the unusual sound of the doorknob being unlocked, which they quickly reacted to by blocking the door with a chair.
"Powder, we gotta go!" She whispered, all of them getting on the balcony one by one, barely dodging the sudden explosion from their back which shattered more than half of the apartment they were robbing, including the balcony they were standing on.
Still disoriented, they couldn't quite understand what happened back there. All they could see now was the commotion happening below them, a street full of enforcers looking their way.
"Shit..." They kept running as soon as they stepped on the pavement, at least three enforcers trailing over the poor kids, throwing mechanisms at them as well.
A loud honking noise soon piqued their interest as well, a sound that surely was the audio cue for the bridge to rise up for a boat to pass through. Running as fast as ever, they jumped over the little crack that the bridge has already made, never looking back at the men behind.
"This way!" She shouted, all of them slamming into a wall one by one, following her lead.
Growing up in the Underground, they sure had some tricks up their sleeve, and that concluded in breaking a water pipe and sliding down a sewer.
"I thought that last time was gonna be the last time we did this!" Mylo protested in slight disgust at the thought of his presumably new shirt getting ruined, but Vi quickly pushed him inside of it.
"Well, this time is the last time. It doesn't matter, let's get this home!"
