Laureen's POV
"What really happened, Trevor?"
"I don't know." He answered, not looking at me.
"Mahal mo pa ba ako?" Kagaya ko ay nanghihina na rin ang aking boses.
"I love you, Laureen. Mahal talaga kita. How about you? Mahal mo pa rin ba ako?" Balik na tanong nya, nakatingin na ngayon ng diretso sa akin.
"Yes, I still love you." I answered, truthfully.
"Kaya mo pa ba?"
I shook my head as the answer to his question. Bakit kami humantong sa ganito?
Mahal na mahal namin ang isa't isa, hanggang ngayon ay nagmamahalan pa rin kami. Ngunit sapat na ba ang pagmamahal namin?
We both don't know what really happened. Napagod kami. Hindi sa isa't isa pero napagod kami sa sitwasyon.
Hindi na maayos ang relasyon namin. Our relationship is not healthy anymore. Wala na pero mahal pa rin namin ang isa't isa.
It really sucks, right?
Now, we're facing each other. Deciding what will happen next.
"Ikaw? Kaya mo pa?" I asked him.
Dahan-dahan syang umiling, nakayuko.
"Let's end this, Lau."
Kahit inaasahan ko na ito, hindi ko pa rin mapigilan ang pagluha. I sobbed. Agad syang tumingin, may pag-aalala sa mata.
"L-Let's end this." Sagot ko bago ngumiti.
Parehas kaming luhaan habang nakatingin sa mata ng isa't isa.
Sometimes, we have to let go for us to fix ourselves first. But this also means that when we let go of each other, we can no longer get back to way we used to be.
It's a matter of fixing ourselves while holding each other or we have to fix ourselves apart.
We both choose the latter.
